Every they come back to post, the cycle is the same. A few people are all like "yay, come back!" most are indifferent, and the mods here reiterate that no one really cares anymore about whatever happened in February, and that they're more than welcome. Then they disappear for another month.
I don't understand straddling the fence, I mean, if you want to leave, then super. If you want to come back, equally super. There is no shortage of members here that enjoyed, and would enjoy what those posters have to offer were they to return, myself included. But I guess that's the whole point of posting every once in a while. Make sure that people are still clamoring for your return, then stick up your nose and continue to reassure yourself that you can't because you're taking the high road after what was really, a rather mundane disagreement.
At the risk of pissing people off, I feel I need to speak my piece, since you still appear to be somewhat bitter about the departure (and reappearance) of some of us. I have read (and kept my mouth shut) much of the vitriol here spewed at the "other board" and its members.
I had no problem with ANYONE on these boards. I enjoyed the interactions with people here. I was not part of any of the stuff that created the original rift with some members. I chose to remain "Switzerland" and even had several private conversations with you via PM about this. Some members seem to enjoy taking swipes at others instead of moving on. I was "defriended" on FB by some of you that I considered friends. Yes, that bugged me a bit, considering I was not even part of the initial departure of some core members. I took it with a grain of salt and moved on. However, it seems like some never miss an opportunity to bash others.
I "defriended" others on FB as we no longer had any interactions, on or off the boards.
As for those who come in and out of the forums, yes, I am one of those. You know (or care) why I am here only occasionally? Because I no longer feel welcome here. With the exception of a few, you and several others have made your feelings quite clear. I visit to read and occasionally post or check my PM's.
I did not want to dredge up the past and start any shit, but I am GD tired of the jabs directed at the "other board" and the people who are on it. I enjoy the POV expressed on both. There are others who post on more than one board who may or may not be on the "invite-only" board. What's the difference?
You want to flame me for this? Go ahead. Your comments in this post are out of line with regard to people clamoring for attention, etc. Whether anyone else agrees with you (or me) or not, I really don't care.
