i'm 5'9 and 165lbs, and far from fat. According to my BMI though, I'm 5lbs from being overweight :P

If I was 180 which I'd like to be I would be considered healthy, but if I went to 190 I would be overweight even if all I want to to do is be a good size and strength.

Also 228 is obese for 6'1 and you can be 221 and not be obese, just huge in muscle.

Someone's insecure

The only reason I don't work out is I'm lazy.

I did gain ten pounds by playing hockey and skating though :D

Really? I lost almost ten pounds from the constant skating.

Well I was never a big muscular guy to begin with. My legs got really toned and I am a bit stronger just not insanely stronger then I used to be.

I was always about 2 inches from reaching a basketball hoop's rim before skating, since I started skating and playing I can now grab a hold of the rim.

Should be good with puck possession with a long reach. There were one or two guys in the league that were so tall, it was impossible to get anywhere near the puck.

I'm only 5'11 but through a combination of length and strength, I'm very difficult to pry the puck from.

I guess so. Even with my scrawny size I'm a mean SOB on the ice, I really don't get knocked around much at all. I stand my ground fairly well, and when people push me, I push back. :)

If I get better with handling a puck I'm sure the reach will be a very added bonus, I'm still a bit fuzzy moving a puck around, I can do it, but not a very good deker yet.

But my stick is standing straight up around 5'7 It fits me good.

Deking is pretty overrated. Knowing where you can keep the puck just out of your opponents' reach is much handier. I'm not terribly quick with it, but the combination of agility, speed, and knowing here to put the puck gives me the ability to make defensemen look foolish every once in a while.

Well I don't want to play offense, I rather play defense as I am one of the better skaters on our team so it's hard for a player to beat me in speed, even if they have a step on me I typically can catch them. And since checking isn't allowed, having a slightly longer reach allows me to knock to puck away from them a bit easier or to prevent them from taking a shot.
