When he stops thinking about signing the deal and actually does it, I'll remove the ? in the title.

Meh, his agent overplayed his hand and TK lost. It happens. I harbor no ill will at this point at the Sabres or TK.

That being said, I hope Kaleta killdozers him, too - I hope Kaleta killdozers EVERYONE.

I feel obligated to hate him since he's now a Ranger, but I don't know if I can bring myself to do so

I don't hate hime. I just love watching Kaleta crush people and it is way more sweet when it's someone who not only left our team but also is a fracking Ranger.

To be fair, Kennedy didn't leave. He was kicked out.

I know, but I never liked him and am super happy he's gone. Thinking he was really worth a mill (IMO) was reatarded on his part. I may be missing something along the way but boiled down wasn't it him thinking he was worth more than the sabres wanted to pay then being awarded a mil in arb and us saying no? Anyway it played out I'm glad we got rid of a wimpy forward...now if we could only take care of a few other sissy unproducing players we have floating around.

Kennedy was offered in the $800k range. He declined and went to arbitration. The arbitrator awarded $1M. The Sabres couldn't walk away from the award since it was below the walk-away floor, so they bought him out instead.

He's a little overpaid at $800k, but the Sabres thought enough of him to offer him that much. I don't think he was a wimpy player at all myself. Aside from the one play against Boston at the end of his shift, he was always pretty decent on the puck. More tenacious than most of the rest of the team going after loose pucks most of the time.

He's not a difference maker at all, but he's a decent enough player that got fucked by a combination of poor agent advice and tightwad ownership.

I geuss I should say "small" instead of "wimpy". He had flashes of great play and then vanished for stretches. So he pretty much wanted more money for his 26 points and -3 performance. Yup, I'll cheer when he gets killdozed.

Completely agree with you Displaced. I never liked Kennedy, and I'm glad he's gone.

If he does sign with the Rangers, then I'll be obligated to hate him with a burning passion...which really shouldn't be to difficult anyway.

I can live with a young kid vanishing for stretches in his first NHL season. I agree that he probably shouldn't have tried arbitration, hence my comment earlier about the bad advice from his agent.

TBN is reporting one-year, one-way deal worth $550K.

Hopefully that new deal was brokered by a new agent.

Oof. Man, bet he wishes he'd taken that Sabres contract, huh?

I'm still a fan of Kennedy. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a consistent 50 point player in a few years.

Never actually liked him, didn't stand out enough, now that he's a ranger, I'm gonna hate him.
