I like Ellis too.

However, I don't like being told that they had to let Kennedy go over 200k because they were 'over budget', but they somehow found the money to sign Ellis.

Ellis is now the 14th forward. Odds have to be good that Gerbe starts in Portland now.

Doesn't mean he can't be fired from VP of operations, or whatever his title is, but TG wouldn't ever stick his nose in a business he has no idea how to run.

LQ's title is Managing Partner. BTG is still the majority owner, and could remove him from that position, but then he would actually have to have an interested and active ownership role, which is not something he seems interested in doing.

As much as we all hate it, LQ is going nowhere unless he decides he wants to go somewhere, or he's bought out via a sale or by BTG.

I'd take Ellis over Kennedy any day. I just plain DID NOT like Kennedy AT ALL.

Not if he stars in the pre-season. Sabres will find a way to keep him if he shines in camp. If he doesn't shine in camp, then what exactly has Gerbe done to make anyone believe he should be sniffing an NHL roster?

Random question but with so many forwards being loaded up is there a chance that Darcy may have a trade up his sleave? Just wondering. Nothing huge or earth shattering but just a way to dump some salary or dump a forward or two.
