I was just taking a break from some school work and got to thinking about what would happen if we found concrete evidence of life on another planet or a moon. I'm not talking about aliens with space ships or ray guns but simply single celled organisms. It would prove that we aren't alone in the universe in the terms of life, strengthen the theory that more complex life exists somewhere out in the distances of space and force us all to reflect deeply about our place in the grand scheme of things. Would we humans gain a healthier perspective as to our differences? Would we stop fighting? How would religion or spirituality change? How would our perceptions of our own history change?
I thought I'd share with you guys and see what you think would change, if anything. So, what would happen if we found life out there?

Do you ever watch the Wonders of the Solar System on the Science Channel? There was a new episode on last night, about discovery alien life in space. There is a moon out there (Utophia?? I forgot the name already) which is believed to be covered in salt water. The entire moon is a 600 mile deep ocean, and it is trapped inside in a thick layer of ice. It also has red lines throughout the outer shell.
In Iceland, scientist have discovered that organisms LIVE IN ICE. That's right, right here on earth things live and reproduce themselves inside of ice. The red lines could easily be the waste remnants of living things from the moons inhabitants.
In my opinion, I 100% guaranteed that life exists underneath Mars surface and on that ice moon too. In that show they show you things that survive on earth under tougher conditions then a lot of the planets and moons around us. It's just a matter of time, and if I'm not mistaken didn't they already find some remnants of life on Mars like 15 years ago? I vaguely remember something about something.
Anyways, to answer your question I'll smile and sip my coffee, then I'll say "fuck yeah, this is so awesome" then take another sip of coffee. Then poop. Then go to work.
