Cross, DF. This is just a case of two people vehemently attached to their own opinions, and it's becoming more of a futile attempt to try to change the other persons mind. In this case it's probably gone far enough (including myself). I strongly urge you two to accept the differences, and say enoughs enough and move on. If not I'll probably end up closing this thread, and subsequent threads this continues in.

Is anyone else missing the point here? I can deal with people on here dissagreeing, I mean that is the point right? I can handle debate and conversation just fine. This is about how every time I write something I get thread raped by Cross. It isn't about my stance or his, it is about not being able to voice a single opinion without being jumped for it. If no one is willing to speak up outside of facebook messages, emails or pm's I understand but without dragging anyone into it let me just say that this isn't just being noticed by me. I'm not being a big pussy and my feelings aren't hurt, I'm just sick of not being able to type a single thing without being singled out by Cross. I seem to have two choices, leave or just learn to like being butt fucked. Yippee. :obscene-sexualbutt:

That was a good read, thank you for your post. Lately here in in the Bay area I saw bilboards that had quotes from our Founding Fathers that made it seem as if they did not want the seperation of church and state
Image

This one was right near my old apartment complex. They had a few from Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson as well.

Here's the corresponding article:

It really burns me when these over-indulgent religious groups twist words and images for their own purposes.

You just troll on in and start shit with me any chance you can get. Go ahead and throw up your hands declaring "Who ME?" now. The only reason no one lumped you in with ETC and the like before is that you started this forum and they cut you slack, but in reality you pull the same bull. You come on into a thread time and time again, make a baiting post then wait and see what happens. We all know it but who cares right? The only shit I can post on here that won't get instantly troll raped by you is about beer or some funny comericial. If I say the sky is blue you'll say "not at night!". Meh, fuck it. Later.

It really does seem like you just hate DP, Cross. I dont know about whatever history you guys have, but it seems to me like you're really targeting and attacking him a lot.

Cross isn't targeting anybody. He's having an argument. He's not insulting anybody.

Another good read, thanks.

This issue is the main reason our Founding Fathers created the Electoral College to determine our president, rather than by popular vote. People will believe what they are told to believe because it's more convienent than doing actual research on candidates.

I'm wondering why these people interpret "religious principle" as Christianity?? Maybe God told one of them that's what G.W. meant.

One of my biggest pet peeves is that it seems that a majority of people think morality cannot exist without religion, which is wholly untrue.

One of my biggest pet peeves is being told that my religion is a crock of shit. It actually happened today. When they ask if I do believe in God and tee away.

Yeah. The idea of God is pretty strange. You know what else is strange? A giant explosion happening in a world of nothingness and darkness and creating a functioning universe where organisms develop into very complex systems. So you can't expect to have everything follow the rules of Earth.

Um...we're not the tactless prick that disrespected you religion earlier today. Disrespecting a personal choice of faith is bush league, especially when not provoked. Even though opinions vary wildly here and many of us don't believe what you do, we haven't attacked you or your religion. What we have discussed however is how some members of your faith choose to twist history to fit their personal belief structure and their sense of entitlement to the freedoms of America over those of other people. No one here has an issue with if or how you pray or to whom or what as long as you keep rotten comments about non-believers out. Relax man. If you start throwing stones at the athiests here though you may find yourself in a self-fullfilling prophecy. Just trying to help.

I always have a few students who are very religious and get upset when we discuss evolution. I always (keeping myself neutral in the "what do you believe? category) tell them, don't get mad...get educated.

You want to be able to defend your position and beliefs? Make sure you are fully educated in all the facts not only on your side, but the opposing side as well.

So, the next time someone wants to make you feel bad about your beliefs, instead of saying "Stop it you big meanies!", you can debate them with counter fact, ideas etc

Most anti-christianity people are just people who are too lazy to go to church and want to justify it with "Oh, I don't trust organized religion" to make themselves feel better. Just sayin'...

I believe that the universe has ALWAYS existed...people tend to mix those up; the idea of our galaxy being created, and the idea of the universe being created.
