I win. Although this is on a weekend evening, when internet traffic is lower...it drops usually to 10-15 during weekday afternoons, and sometimes barely works at all. But when it works, it works nice.

They all show up in GMT.

You go to RIT, right? Yours is probably faster.

Try the NYC or DC servers though. The rest seem to have the speed limited by the speed of the servers themselves - can't usually get them out of the 20 mpbs range.

^^^Try the NYC or DC server. Rochester isn't a very good one, gives me 12 mbps down, 11 mbps up, and a 78 ms ping. Not very accurate for anything.

All we have is DSL. It's fast enough but I wish it was faster. It's suppose to be a 10 Mbps speed from them.

But I don't know, doesn't seem like it.

Hmm, you guys are supposed to have really fast internet I thought. The DC one is the one hosted by Speedtest.net, so that should be a decent one too.

Are you using a router? Or wireless? Or just a straight ethernet connection?

I'm on a wireless network. The whole campus (except one of the apartment complexes) is wireless.

That's pretty good for wireless then. I usually average 2-3 mbps on our wireless network, usually 20-30 on my own in my dorm (with an old G router).

Try plugging into an ethernet port. Will be much faster.

I am in the crappiest hotel right now. There's no coffee maker, no iron, the beds and sheets are terrible, and there's not even a hair dryer (not that I use one).

My coworker actually posted a snapshot of his speed on facebook, with a DS clocked at 80, and this is just Comcast Blast, we are putting out 100 Mbs for businesses right now.

But dude, your upload is retarded! That's the fastest upload I've ever seen. lol
