What I meant by "odd man out" is not being the 13th guy, but in Portland. We'll have (don't pay attention to the guesswork lines)...

Vanek - Roy - Stafford (damn I hope not somehow)
Ennis - Niedermayer - Grier
McCormick - Gaustad - Kaleta
Gerbe or Ellis, with the other in Portland

For defense, Leopold is likely going to be paired with Myers, at least to start with. Monty with Morrisonn, Rivet with (hopefully) Weber. Butler and Sekera can fill in for injury if the trainer, equipment manager, or stick boy are all busy, but Sekera could be looked at to fill in at forward in a tight spot.

At 18?! That's a bold statement, but I like it. I like it a lot. I said the same thing about Staal while everybody else was saying "no way" and he made it! In this case, it seems unlikely to me due to his undisciplined off ice attitude, I think he needs some AHL time if they sign him.

True story on the no AHL. This kid is EXACTLY what this team is lacking though and even if it means trading or waiver wiring someone to make room, it should be done. There is nobody on this team with his combo of nasty/hitting/fighting/touch of offensive ability. He would destroy Kaleta and that guy is a pretty bad dude in his own right. Fuck wanting him on the team, they NEED him on the team

The date may be incorrect, but 20 before AHL camps start too.
