Plenty of songs have really weird lyrics, but are good songs.

I've been fascinated by the lyrics to the song Evil by Interpol, and the video makes them even more compelling. After many weeks of analysis, I think it's about a guy (possibly the song writer) who struggles with the sudden death of his newlywed wife from a car wreck. He "restores her in life" through memory and possibly mastorbation (creepy) but feels inprisoned by her memory with guilt being the warden of the emotional cell. The lyrics plead for his beloved ghost to turn away as he wants for new love but ultimately can't escape her spector. I'm not a huge fan of interpol, they have a few other songs that I like and a few that I dislike but this song is riddled with torment cleverly disguised behind a peppie beat and a no-chalant yet powerful chorus. It's easily the best song they have ever written.
