I think its pretty telling of how far to their respective corners various "news" networks have traveled when a comedian is thought to be the most honest, reliable guy out there. This should be fun.

I'm so okay with everything in that article. It's 100% spot on.

I see him being biased but doesn't the fact that he sells himself as a comedian rather than a legit news guy kind of make that okay if not, isn't it at least expected? I mean he's on Comedy Central, not a news network.

You guys know that Colbert's hyper-conservative persona is an act, right?

Of course, I thought he was going the other way with that saying that Colbert is to liberals what Beck is to conservatives.

Nah, I was just being annoying. :P

And the liberals' Glenn Beck is clearly Michael Moore.

I've watched Cobert and Stewart a few times and I don't find either of them to be terribly entertaining. I do like Stewart, though Colbert I'm pretty apathetic about.

I remember in the election of 2008, someone posted a link to an online quiz that would tell you which candidate your views most closely resembled. ETC took it and the results said his views most closely resembled Stephen Colbert's. I loved that.

My mom and I are going, we booked our flights and hotel the other day. I'm so excited! I told my mom that we had to be back by Halloween night, because it's my favorite holiday (besides Christmas), so I'm glad that we're flying!

I wish I could go. It's a shame I'm gonna miss it. I love both of them.

There were a couple of people who had Colbert way up on their list who didn't even know who he was. I was picturing them doing a little research on him, and maybe even watching his show, and thinking "what the fuck is going on here?"

In an Ohio State research poll last year, a majority of polled conservatives felt that Steven Colbert was actually a conservative, and just 'pretended to be joking'.
