Any word on if this kid grew at all over ther Summer?

Well, he definitely doesn't need to get any taller...just wider. He probably put on about 10 pounds or so, which won't be very noticeable considering how tall he is.

He said he put on a few pounds, but wasn't trying to rush it - he said the weight will come as he ages.

Maybe soon his nickname will change from the Big Easy to the Big fatty.

He put on 8 pounds this summer.

He doesn't want to ruin his mobility.

For a 19 year old kid he's huge. Keep in mind men don't stop significant muscle development until they are roughly 24. I am willing to bet he hits about 230-235 when all is said and done. He's a very hard worker in the off season, and will continue to put on 5 to 10 pounds of muscle every year for the next 3 to 5 years. All in all, he's still young and has time to grow both physically and as a hockey player.

For one, he's 20. For two, if he added 8lbs to his already-222lb frame, he's already at 230. He says he wants his goal to be 245, so he's on pace to hit that in two years.

I like how he is determined to do better this year then last year also and to not worry about the so-called sophomore jinx, it sure didn't do anything to Stamkos, so it shouldn't do anything to Myers.

He's not called the Big Easy for nothing. He doesn't seem like the guy to worry about such things.

Like Lindy said, just maintaining his level with better positioning and grit would be fine. But I'd be ok if he became a PP QB and grabbed 65 pts.

I liked what I saw from him on the PP and wouldn't mind seeing him QB'ing it.....I mean fuck, he can't do any worse than some of the other people we have.

He'll be the PP QB soon, pretty much I think he already can do it, he just is getting slowly developed into that part, and they are focusing more on his size and reach right now.

Anyone seen Morrison on the PP at all, or is he just one of the stay at home guys?

Morrison is a shut-down D-man. I wouldn't expect him to change the powerplay, if he gets any time.

Leopold isn't quite a stay at home d-man, and I would expect him to get some powerplay minutes.
