Campus memorial service tomorrow morning. I just might cry in front of other human beings for the first time since I was a child... lol. Her family will be there to speak. Her Facebook wall before she died is a constant stream of her family commenting on each other's things, plenty of "I love you." Her mother's wall is chock full of bragging about her being at college and playing volleyball.

It's just
sad.
Death seems a little rushed in our culture. Less than a week ago this girl was still here, and already she is buried.
I know how you feel... It was so surreal when my friend died a few years ago after she got hit by a truck. I know most parents love their children unconditionally, but she was just so close to her parents and her brothers and they were always beaming with pride. Honestly the hardest part of her dying for me was seeing how hurt her family was.
At the same time, it couldn't have happened to a better family... They'll weather it well, having already been an extremely loving family. They're strong. It's a terrible thing, but if it has to happen.... Of her family only her father spoke today, and he held it together, so I didn't cry. Edit: Actually, the worst part of the service was the slideshow at the beginning. It felt more like a celebration than a typical memorial service, and most of the anecdotes were hilarious. She was a great girl.
