I am absolutely TERRIFIED of heights. I literally can't climb a ladder past maybe the 4th or 5th rung before I start to freak out a little.

As a kid I always loved the bridge from Morehead City to Atlantic Beach, NC on the outer banks because it meant finally being at the beach.

I always got nervous walking along the piers on the beach as a kid. They're like bridges to nowhere, and not the Palin kind.

Totally not turning this into a political thing but you're being inaccurate.
The bridge to nowhere was the work of Alaska Representative Don Young and Senator Ted Stevens.
At the end of the day Palin issued a state budget rescinding all state funding for the project.
