Bill Hoppe from MSG is reporting Kassian has been sent back to Windsor and that more cuts of the AHL variety will come later.

Correction - the cuts have already been made, but the names aren't yet known.

Too bad, but Kassian will make the team next year, I guarentee it.

Well, he had a decent camp. With a few things depending, he'll crack the big club next season.

He had a decent camp, but not good enough that he could be considered a lock for next year's team.

Good that he got some experience up here, will serve him well in the long run.

Brought the fire first game. Then looked a step behind in the rest. He needs to pick up his skating speed.

Put that kid through some agility ladders and get his explosiveness up.

Also:
Mark Parrish has been released from his PTO, Patrick Lalime has an injured groin and Lindy is worried about him (Enroth kept up already?), Lindy has said he likes Myers and Morrisonn together because it reminds him of last season's top pair, Vanek ought to be good for Friday night against the Sens.

Yea, I agree that Kassian needs to get his speed up, same thing with Luke Adam. Get their spee up and they will do just fine up here.

I agree, I thought he had a excellent first game but after that he fizzled out. I had a feeling they were going to send him down the only way he would be remaining on this team if he was playing out of his mind.

+1, both need more time working on their game.

Another year in Juniors won't hurt him, and a year in the AHL for Adam will do wonders for him too.

That leaves Enroth and Weber as the only Pirates left with the team. Given Rivet and Lalime's injuries, I'm not surprised by this.

Something about their age or contract requires them to pass through waivers when demoted. When they're called back up, they have to pass re-entry waivers now, too.
