I just got tossed from Saturday afternoon hockey, lol. Fighting Major, Misconduct, 12 month suspension from the local arena. Why? Some ass hat skated into my brother who was playing goalie while he was in the corner, and I took exception to that. I came in and boarded his ass, then dropped my gloves on his son who came in and slashed me.

The guy that I did it to, has been a bush league player for years, and his kid has always been a little asshole. All in all I feel like they got what they had coming. Even though I can't play in town for another year, somebody had to do something. You don't fuck with my goalie, or my family, they broke both rules.

Yeah, I'm pretty calm when I play hockey, but if someone does something that could cause an injury, I'm going after that bastard.

That's exactly what you should do.

In my league they only toss you for the game and another game for fighting as one of our players did that last game.

But you can't jump the bench and help since that is against USA Hockey rules.

In our league it's a game and you have to go before the league officials and apologize or something. But if you have a reputation for being a dick, you'll get asked not to come back.

Well, I'm not going to lie, when I play as a skater, I play on the edge of the rule books. Primarily because I'm not a skilled player at all. I bend the rules, work the interpretation of the rules, and play with a bit of a physical edge for a drop in, non-check league. So I have a reputation of being a bit of an agitator and instigator.

Looking back I dont regret what I did, but I do know that I'm definitely not going to be allowed to play in any of the leagues there for a while, and I'll have to be a model citizen when I go back. If I go back that is.

But it's like I said, you dont fuck with my goalie, and you dont get to play bush league hockey, especially if you could potentially injure someone. I'm useful to have around in a situation like that, because I am a very emotional player, and provide an edge physically.

I wanna get into a league up in Buffalo this winter.

I play physical because no one expects the 145 pound guy to play physical. And no one is going to call the penalty on the 145 pound guy if two people fall over.

My nickname is Crash for a reason.

I play with an edge, I don't let anyone knock me around, and it's right, I may be small in weight but if you're pushing me, I'll give a shove back to you without a delay.

The last game me and a guy were pushing a bit in the corner and the ref was like, watch it.

As a 145 pound guy myself, you do need to do what it takes to be strong on your feet and not fall over, and make sure you're not a pushover too.

My nickname is Crash. People are leery of me. Goalies aren't fond of me coming in on a breakaway. I even destroyed a goalie in floor hockey. I was running in on a break and the guy chasing stuck his stick out and tripped me. Cue pile up into goalie.

Haha, I'm not that greatest with stick work, plus I like playing defense way better though.

Well at 185, I definitely have considerable size on you guys, and most people in fact. But I don't have NHL size, or skill for that matter, so I have to get by on being a mean, tough, son of a bitch. I don't have any considerable stick skills, although I still probably have first line skills compared to most folks that play "drop in", none the less, I have always used tenacity, and aggression to hone my game. It's just how I'm built. I love contact, I love physicality, and I love nothing more than to use that to wear down an opponent. I played two days this weekend, once in Erie PA, I had 2g 4a in 3 games down there, then I played again yesterday, and had 0g 0a and 15 PIMs...and a 12 month suspension. At any rate, I've got some skill, but I use my body and my toughness to gain an edge on the opposing team. It's just how I'm built. Have no qualms with guys who are smaller than me playing a grinding role. I've always been a physical player no matter what sport I play.

I still hold the record for PIMs in a career and a game in Jamestown Lacrosse, and I think I still hold some scoring records as well. I'm purely built for contact sports, and I love ever second of physicality I can get.

I'm built more for speed and skating size. What I lack in my stick skills I make up for it being able to get back on defense, well I play defense, and having smarts to push players to the outside and just get in the way of shots.

My shot and stick skills will come as I get stronger and with more practice on the ice with pucks.

I make stupid mistakes as anyone would and glad I have a goalie who can bail me out of some situations, it's mainly only when I have to get the puck out or carry it along.

My skating is my biggest asset, I'm one of the best skaters on my team at least.

My arm hurts right under the elbow on the inside arm. Blocked a shot today, thankfully it was just a wrist shot from the guy. But it caught me right above where the elbow pads go across the forearm.

It'll probably be black and blue tomorrow.

When I play goalie in soccer I usually play a butterfly like style, I've been known to make kicksaves instead of trying to jump on the ball.
I also mauled some guy when he was trying to 1 on 1 me, I ran out of the box and fricken slide tackled the ball out from under him. best sport ever.

One year I led my team in fighting majors. I'm a goalie.

LOL I've never had this much fun playing sports (unless you count playing goalie in gym class floor hockey) That's a whole other story.

I really need to start taking my medicine earlier. These second winds of energy right before bed really do not work for me.
