These guys are usually pretty good, but these are horrible. Three of them picked the Sabres to finish THIRD in the DIVISION. Dmitry is on rock thinking the Sens can take the division title.

Fuck them. Just remember, Ryan Miller played 69 games last year, winning the Vezina. Tuukka Rask played 45 games and got praise because he's better than Tim Thomas (what an accomplishment!). Everything is going to be just fine. I think we can take the division again.

Hockey Night in Buffalo

I can see why people see us as a good, not great team. We don't have an elite playmaking/scoring forward like all the elite teams.

Penguins - Crosby/Malkin
Devils - Parise/Kovie
Caps - Ovechkin
Sabres - Vanek????

We're certainly a lot better than they're giving us credit for. They just don't see the larger picture. They think we're Miller, Myers and a bunch of nobodies.

Like Squanto said, fuck these guys. One of them has the Laffs ahead of the Sens, and another has the Sens finishing 2nd, ahead of the Sabres. That shows me how spot on they are collectively. Anyways...

Rask is young, Miller is a veteran. Not saying he won't outplay Miller(and I can see how people might think he will, despite winning a "V"), but I'm more content with Miller and his experience. The Savard loss is going to hurt more than they think. Plugging the rookie in will be fun, but his growing pains won't. I'm sure Sequin will be a good all-round player, but as with all rookies, the game will seem fast at first.

Jersey was not spectacular with Kovie last year. If he is spectacular, then fine, but until he is, let's not cash any check on it.

Pittsburgh has probably earned any hype they get.

Washington hasn't.

Philly and Montreal?? How far will their goal-tending take them???

Rangers, Tampa, Carolina and Islanders: show me don't tell me.

Ottawa? They did have our number.

I can see why a guy might rank Pitt, Wash, NJ, and BOS ahead of us, but that's about it.

I find it interesting that all around the league, they are underestimating us, but those close to the Sabres organization(fans, writers) or even the team itself(Ruff, Regier, players) say that the Cup is not very far from reach and that, well, it is the immediate goal.

Going off the thread topic here but staying on the Buffalo hate, or at least apathy i wanted to add that I have been noticing that on NHL Live they haven't talked about Buffalo or fielded calls from any Buff fans in the past few days...which basically means all season so for...haha. I also noticed that in our preseason games each pregame, intermission and post game coverage all had to do with our opponent....like we weren't even fucking there. Even in highlight coverage we got no love. What the fuck?
