Great move on the goal, and nice pass to Vanek for the game winner.

In order to succeed, we need overachievers... performances we don't expect out of people. If Clark can maintain a pace and continue to be a threat on offense, the Sabres will be that much more dangerous.

I really feel pretty good about him. He looked great in preseason, he looked great in the first two games...80 to go, and we may be talking contract extension for the General. He's meeting my expectations thus far.

That 2nd line is pretty small and hasn't produced much yet until Myers' great play. Maybe Connolly can make a difference once the roster changes take place. I expect Kennedy to return to Portland or stay on the roster as a 4th LW or healthy scratch. He was outmuscled several times again last night. He shows good judgement and plays responsibly, but he just needs to be stronger on the puck.

If there is more puck control from center, MacArthur will see more chances.

Clarke was awesome last night.

Hopefully he has more than a half dozen more games this year like that.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a huge fan of MacArthur. But he did look great last night. If he can put up 40-50 (Dreaming with 50, but...) points a year, then he should stick around for a while.

Mac Arthur is one of those players that could actually make or break our season this year...everyone knows vanek, roy, pommers, miller, etc. will do well....it's the players like mac who could determine how this team ends up...

what if mac puts in 25 to go with 35 assits? (i know a bit of a dream)....but if he could that would be HUGE

and don't forget another player who could have a big impact as well......

SEKERA !!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....if he does what my sig says......that will also big a huge lift to this team....and stop calling him shakira damnit....u'll be eating crow soon enough if you keep it up !

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

Sekera has been terrible these first two games. Not too promising, given how he crumbled last season.

Sekera and Tallinder are best taken out back and shot.

I thought that the Kennedy/Pommy/Mac line created some really good scoring chances.. Clark and Kennedy were willing to charge the front of the net many times during the game, which really impressed me..

Kennedy has genuinely impressed me as well, except for in the department of puck strength. He just needs to power up, and he'll have a good career ahead of him.

ha, yeah I was going to edit it initially, but then realized there is humorous double meaning.

ha, I guess i'm not part of "everyone" then, because Jason has never really impressed me, and I have no idea if he'll "do well".

I think Mac has actually been our best forward thus far (3 games in). He's young, so consistency is an issue with him, as was evidenced by last year, but the guy understands where to go to get the scoring chances. Some guys have it (Mac) while others don't (Paille). I think he can consistently score 20 a year. He's got some finish to his game, and he's potted one already and had some great chances at other times. Could become a solid 2nd liner, in my opinion, if he keeps it up.

Most improved player from last year by FAR...Jochen Hecht a distant second. Clarke has looked AWESOME every single game.
