I was in the mist of typing 12 points on our team. It went blank on point 8. FUCKING COMPUTER!!!

In any event, I'll keep it short, as the title states.

Defense sucks ass.
Power Play is non-existent.
Vanek is worthless.
Connolly is the same.
Miller is not to be blamed, but WTF? You want a legacy, try building one. One great season does not a champion make.
Myers and Ennis show promise, with growing pains.

Ya'll don't want to know the rest, I'm sure. I am not happy they lost, but losses happen. What really scares me is the lack of focus from multiple areas.

Stanley Cup Contenders?????????????????????
Not Now, let's see how this team looks after 1/4 of the season, but as of now, they look like 10th to 12th pick overall, YET AGAIN.

Really?
We lost 2 games. If we win the next 2 and play well doing it, does that mean we automatically win the cup?
Try some de-caf.

Its not about losing just 2 games. If you can't face the facts that are displayed on the ice by this team, I am truly sorry. But reality is what it is. Miller sucked, the defense sucked, the power play sucked, Vanek is non-existent on the score sheet and Connolly showed up once in 3 games for a goal.

Please god, tell me you dispute these facts, if you do, go get some glasses, PLEASE!

We have not played well. However, we're only 3 games in. I don't think the Chicken Little routine is warranted.

We'll be ok. We're certainly not off to a good start, but we'll be ok..

I understand your sentiment. And I am not attempting to grind against that, but, BagBoy, come on man. You can see there is a sense of chaos in the lineup, not only due to new player insertion, but also, due to the lack of focus.

Come on man, you have to admit in your heart, this team can perform much better collectively as a group than they have these 3 games. In particular, these 2 home games. Letting those go like they have has the ability to cost this team greatly later in the season. THATS A LACK OF FOCUS.

Lets not forget, the management team DID NOTHING to address the Power Play QB situation. That is going to come back and bite them in THE ASS.

Do you deny not seeing these facts, for yourself, first hand?

Vanek's also been snake-bit and the team wasn't the same after Pommers got ass raped for no good reason. They were winning when that happened, were they not??? I'd probably agree with you if this were 20+ games in, but come on. 3 games.

I'm only giving this post based on the "Short Version" and I even state such in my opening post. But, and it must be pointed out, this is not about individual players sucking, or mucking up the overall performance, it is about the lost opportunities.
2 Home Games and these outcomes?

You can't blame Miller alone, although, he must, as a team leader, shoulder some of the responsibility on this. The burden must be put for the power play's piss poor performance all 3 games on management!!!

These are not facts to be disputed, let us just accept it and look at the possibilities of making this team better before it's too late. I mean, really, read my sig....................Ladies and Gents, I believe this is the year, I am not here to be a nay-sayer, but to try and look at what can be done to right the ship NOW.

OGGABOOGA OGGABOOGA There's no point in posting this if you don't want people to dispute or get all riled up.

And whose been blaming miller? haven't been in the GDT's, but has that started happening already?

Ill agree there... I do want to see me of Leopold on the point in the PP... I didn't see the whole game, but he had 2 goals against the Rangers on the point... so why was he down low, in the slot toward the end of tonight's game... I think Leopold can help the PP, but it's going to take him a few games to jell... not time to panic... time to work on it in practice...

No one is. Obviously Miller is capable of playing better, but he has hardly been terrible. Aside from Hossa's second goal tonight, he was pretty solid.

Our powerplay is SERIOUSLY bad. Pommers gets pwned and we can't even score one goal on the subsequent 5 minute penalty...

Out of curiosity, anyone remember the last time we had a top 5 powerplay unit? It seems like our PP has been god-awful for yearsss.

Also, Miller has now had an abortion all over the crease 2 games in a row...wtf is going on

What the hell does that even mean? He hasn't been playing like the Vezina winning goalie he was last year, but he hasn't been awful at all. He wasn't great against the Rangers, but I thought he was really solid against the Blackhawks tonight aside from Hossa's second goal.

In my view he's been absolutely terrible these past 2 games...that is, compared to the level he could and SHOULD be performing at. Obviously, we have a difference of opinion.

The second goal he let in by Marian Hossa wasn't just bad because it was a weak shot from a poor angle, it was doubly poor due to the timing of it. It put the 'Hawks up by 2 midway through the third period...the quintessential back-breaker in every sense of the word.
