This team continues it's bipolar play.

Miller has been less-than stellar to start the season.
Our stars (With the exception of Roy) have been completely invisible.

This team is failing because the stars it relies on to win are playing like shit (Miller, Myers, Connolly) or injured (Pominville) or the support staff (lower lines, lower pairs) are playing like shit. I'm super psyched that Hecht-Roy-Stafford has mondo chemistry (leading to an Ennis-Connolly-Vanek line?), but the rest of the team needs to step up. Especially Miller, Myers, and Vanek.

Vanek, especially, but he's a unique case given his confidence issues.

Yup. Without Vanek, Connolly and the head crew waking the fuck up, this will be a long season.

I try not to slag on Vanek because he's a bit shaky mentally, but he needs to find his happy place again that had him on pace for 60+ goals a couple of seasons ago.

Miller is relied on to cover for odd-man rushes or breakaways, and he's been shit on them.

And I know it's three games in (and you all know I am a HYOOJ Myers fan), but Tyler Myers is a -5 with 1pt in three games. It's not a sophomore slump yet, but in 7 games if he still looks like shit, I'm calling it. And yes I know part of it is the expectations heaped upon him, but don't talk like a fucking world champ about how there will be no sophomore slump if this is gonna happen.
