Miller has regained his focused, looked extremely good. (There Fly, we have our Millsie back to form ;) )

Defense looked tighter, a couple of lapses, but normal in any given game.

Once again, I am going to point out the non-existence of Vanek and Connolly. These 2 guys are not showing up. Only 4 games in as many will undoubtedly point out, but something needs to give here. Although, on a bright note for Vanek, am I mistaken or did I see Vanek on the RW with Roy and Ennis? I believe I did and I noticed on that shift a remarkable amount of puck control as they cycled down low, behind the net. Anyone else notice this?

Gerbe looked ok, I noticed he was forcing it sometimes. In my opinion, it doesn't serve him well offensively at all to be on a line with Grier and Nieds.

3 home losses in a row is unacceptable, even in overtime. These are squandered points that will come back to bite this team in the ass down the backend stretch in March and April if they can't get a handle on it now.

I agree Slesh. The biggest defensive lapse usually happened when Myers were on the ice. I can see the sophmore slump starting for him. He's making some bad plays lately but I hope he can tighten up and gain control of himself.

I was very happy to see Ryan back in form and making absolutely incredible saves. No doubt, if it wasn't for him the Sabres would have been blown away.

These game are critical since majority of them have been against eastern conference teams. I'm hoping they step up their game for Friday because it would be extremely embarrassing to lose on the day you celebrate your 40th Anniversary

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I am, at this point, pretty much flabbergasted by how unprepared vanek seems for this season. I see no glimpses of the superstar we all thought he had the ability to become.

how much longer is his absurd contract?

I don't understand Ruff's insistence to change the lines all the time.

He'll make a combination that will work really well one game, and then he'll break it up for the next game. It's ridiculous that he lets absolutely no chemistry develop between anybody.

He didn't look bad in Ottawa.

Or against Chicago. His backchecking probably saved at least two goals, and he had a breakaway that should have drawn a hooking penalty.

Vanek has at least been in a position to score more times than I can count. Now, of course, he hasn't scored yet, which sucks. But, he has been far from non-existent IMO. Connolly on the other hand... he's been hard to spot.
