Deserved. I don't want to start disliking one of my favorite players, but...

TO THOSE MAKING EXCUSES FOR KALETA:

I can only imagine what you'd be saying had somebody tried to headbutt a Sabre.

Want a shred of credibility? Then don't apply such a transparent double standard because of who's wearing what uniform.

Yeah, because I would care if Zajac tapped Kaleta in the shoulder with his head. Honestly, if your not going to actually say something relevant and instead just say "What if Kaleta did it" like 90% of the posts about Kaleta, your post sucks. Do I care what happens to Kaleta? Only if he gets hurt. He's an agitator. If he gets lightly headbutted in the shoulder, I'd probably laugh and be done.

You need to relax. The overwhelming majority of posts in this thread, and majority of people that have commented in this in general, have agreed that the headbutt was a dick move, and was worthy of some sort of fine.

You can disagree with the people who don't without coming off like an arrogant prick.

So you're essentially saying that it is fine for people in the league to head butt each other as long as you don't care about the player? This has to do with the action, not how much damage was done to Zajac. Thankfully he missed and no damage was done but it has to do with the intent to injure, and the fact that this childish, dangerous shit has no place in the game. Thankfully most fans can see past their hometeam jersey and realize that this move by Kaleta was wrong and deserved league action.

I'm glad he was fined so as to discourage this behavior from happening in the future. Yeah, Kaleta may not have connected well this time, but who's to say that next time he or someone else tries to do it that they don't injure someone else or themselves in the process. And for the record, I know people would be pissed if this happened to a Buffalo player. This isn't Kaleta being Kaleta, this is him overstepping the boundaries and taking a cheap shot. If he is going to talk smack about a questionable hit on one of his own, he probably shouldn't go out the next game and do something like this. Kinda makes his credibility shoot right into the toilet.

Jay had a good point, too. Kaleta has a history of neck injuries and him using his head as a weapon isn't the smartest thing he could have done.

My thoughts exactly, especially your second point.

I need to relax? How so?

Yes, most here are on the same page, HOWEVER, there is some excuse making going on and I, without naming names, was addressing those posters.

And as far as coming off like an arrogant prick, I find it funny that you are preaching to me about that.

Your chastizing of me over this is absurd. Get up on the wrong side of the bed today or what?

I won't take a chill pill.

I don't understand the fascination that some posters, you included, have with constantly antagonizing other people you disagree with. You disagree with someone's point? Cool. Happens all the time. Do you need to go out of your way to be a complete douche about it? Do you get off by playing the internet tough guy card? What gives you the right to question anyone else's credibility?

It's sad really. You have a good deal of interesting opinions. Too bad you generally can't deliver them without being a dicknose about it.

Whatever. I'm done dealing with this type of shit. People act like assholes, then get all buthurt when a mod asks them to stop. Of course, if we don't say anything, then shit escalates, and we have to deal with it later on anyways.

I just want to talk about hockey. Getting lip from internet tough guys all the damn time isn't very fun. Say whatever the fuck you want however you want to say it.

That's the opposite of what I was saying. Whoever does this action to whoever does not matter to me what so ever. Read my post. I said I wouldn't care if Zajac did it to Kaleta.

I don't say go around headbutting people, but it even looks like he didn't intentionally do it. This little bump of the head on the shoulder isn't worthy of a fine (IMHO), but I'm not saying he should do it.

I'm kind of surprised at the outrage to this 'headbutt' (and...seriously, on the headbutt scale it's got to be a 1 out of 10), it was at best a glancing blow, delivered with almost zero leverage, and it was basically side of the head to side of the head.

I'm more bothered by the charging penalty he got...he zoomed across the ice and left his feet to deliver a blow against the glass, that shit really could have hurt someone but no one except fly seems to have even noticed it.

And now to help Slesh with a completely unrelated matter, Pussy pussy pussy.
