Now this is a game review I have been waiting to write.

A complete effort tonight by this team. I have no negatives, NONE, 0, ZILCH, NOTTA!!!!!!!!!!

Game Pucks go to the entire team.
Power Play is still shaky, but puck control and offensive zone attack was much improved.
Transition game, both out of the defensive zone and into the offensive zone was near flawless.

The offensive output is more than welcomed. But to me, it was the pure hard work along the boards, smart passes, patience by the point men and going to the net that clinched it for me.
Even if they had lost this game, I had nothing but smiles all game long due to the work ethic and smart play...............BY EVERY LINE, EVERY SHIFT (thank you lord).

I know its a road trip, but I want this team to review this game film over and over again to understand that this is how they should play hockey.

I was very impressed with Weber, outside of the one give away in the 1st period, this kid came to play.
Myers stepping into the slot is nothing new, but a pass that actually got to his stick is much improved.
Ennis going to the net, Kaleta going to the net, Vanek going to the net.................do we see a recurring theme here?

Grier and Nieds, not grand performances for 3rd liners, but they have finally begun to show up.

My game puck goes to Thomas Vanek.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I now give you your 2010-2011 Buffalo Sabres as they should play, EVERY GAME!!!
Even if the outcome is a loss, the work ethic was what I, as a fan, have been after.

My hats off to this team this evening. Can they learn to carry this over to the next would be my only concern.

True, NJ was with out Kovy and have been playing Iron man Hockey due to the current Cap bind. But at the end of the day, as I have stated before..........

Losers go home and play with themselves, Winners go home and fuck the prom queen".

There is no excuse for NJ, just as there is no excuse for Buffalo when they don't play to their potential.

The Buffalo Sabres took it to the enemy tonight, and took it to them hard, almost a full 60 minutes hard.
I can find no serious faults with their overall game play management.

The first 7 minutes or so were shaky and they were getting hemmed into thier own zone again, but they snapped out of it, went on the attack and used smart hockey play to win the day.

Exactly, the Sabres did what they were supposed to do. This is a positive step forward.

Glad to see it, now all they need to do is do this at home.

Hell, I still say fire Regier  ...........(Sorry Squanto, I want him gone so bad so the team will bring in the necessary personnel to make a run :D ).

But a win is a win. I'll take it. I'll especially take it when they play to their potential for a good portion of the game.

Awesome goal celebration by Kaleta, he's such a jagoff. I love it. lol

Good to see that Vanek waited for Marty to get in net before scoring a couple, wouldn't want things to be too easy for the man. ;)

This makes two stellar performances in 3 games, that's a good trend.

Grier played a great game, he's got impressive vision and passing skills.

Ennis and Gerbe continue to thrive in their grinding line roles, the contrast in size and skill makes them both look like Gretzky in his prime.

I would suggest that Ryan Miller got lucky a few times, but he makes alert saves like those so often that I'm not sure how much of a factor luck is with him.

Myers found his step a few games ago and now he's going about his business of playing great hockey and learning to become even better.

There's still something a little off with the chemistry on the top line, this one is a step slow here, and this pass is to the backhand there, etc.. They need better communication, and I think that begins with Vanek. One thing I don't like about Vanek is that he's not chatty enough with his teammates. I'm thinking maybe it's about time these guys articulate better, as in where they want the puck in certain situations and maybe go bowling together or something. It's not the talent. So it's something else. Having said that they played really well, but that line has to be there almost every night for the Sabres to take team success to a higher level.

You can tell who one by the number of people who show up in post game threads, not the content. lol

Yep...that win was huge. And who cares if Jersey had their backup in their and their $100 million man was benched. We needed to cream those guys.

Their new back-up has owned the Sabres for years, going back to the fateful Kasparaitis game.

On one hand I'm stoked that we destroyed the Devils like that. On the other I realize we're still on the bad side of 50/50 still. So basically, great to see and hope to see more.

You don't have to apologize to me. Contrary to popular opinion, I've wanted Darcy gone since he botched Drury/Briere/Vanek. I will however defend him when he's unfairly criticized.

It's not like the Devils won the next game that Kovalchuk played in either.
