You know if you guys sign in online and go to a versus mode it will download the correct rosters if you accept it, you don't have to play online and just exit out and save the roster. I did that cause the rosters were frigged to all hell. CHL is even worse than the NHL/AHL, its all last years team in CHL

yea but we still have to wait til the beginning of the season to get the true rosters, they arent allowed to put the new draftees on their teams until theyve suited up with them once

there are some SERIOUS flaws with this game.

1. if the opposing team gets a break away, they are going to score. i dont mean most of the time. EVERY. TIME. if you see the opposing team all alone with your goalie, they are going to score. 0 exceptions

2. the opposing power play is much too lethal. if you kill a penalty, consider yourself lucky.

3. slow as shit line changes. i have cleared the puck, and changed lines, only to have the goalie or defenseman on the opposing team make a home run pass to a forward who walks in on my goalie.

are you sure you just dont have NHL 10 in your xbox? :p

i mean, im killing a penalty, i have the puck behind my own net, and i change lines. i hold on to the puck as long as i can, and then i clear it. puck goes down, defensemen corrals it. at this point, its been a while, so i assume lines are all changed up. wrong! dude makes a 130 foot pass to a guy all alone who streaks in and scores. and when they have a break away, its the same move every time. and it works.

if i play bad defense, thats one thing. but this is just maddening.

and the worst part is i was playing a fun game. midway through the second, im losing 2-1. both teams have 12 shots, it was alot of fun. i dont mind losing, its sports ya know? the second half of the game? i take 22 shots, score twice. they take FIVE SHOTS, and score 3 times. sorry, that just irritates the shit out of me.

I personally don't really like how during Be a Pro mode, my seems to have 30 shots a game and the CPU has 12 shots MAX. It really doesn't make for much competition, i've tried adjusting the slides too. Whenever they seem to have a clear cut chance, they always pass it away

It's always been like that, in every NHL game. It's a huge reason my goalie never has a good Sv% at the end of my BAP, but we still have the lowest GAA in the entire league.

And highest GF normally.

ive never had problems like this since nhl 06, to which a simple cross slot one timer was an easy score. shit, last year, miller had a save percentage of .925 for me.

all i want is a game that plays to my level. ya know, a hard game, and ya win some, and ya lose some. that setting doesnt exist, and this years has some fucking terrible AI and some bad things about the game play. its a fun game, but its not close to last years.

I'm talking to Mo about this, but in the BAP they need to make the XP based on some sort of function based on Pe^rt function and use it as a compounded form to earn XP based on the amount of goals you score, and assists.

I mean you score 60 goals your rookie season, you should be able to earn more experience and become really good really quick.

I should send this idea to EA then, and complain about my disdain of how slow it is to level up.

In NHL 10 I am around 6 years into my BAP, already have my legend card, and I'm only rated an 86. I have scored almost 500 goals and 1000 points basically, why am I only an 86, when my player wins every trophy I can basically win?

I've been kind of disappointed in NHL11... I've already spent more time on the BAP then I have in nhl 09 and 10 combined, and am actually enjoying it. I still hate the passing, and how the camera will move retardedly at times, but overall it's fun.

Bought this game yesterday for my step son.
Him and I sat around last night and today jamming out. It actually gives me an advantage to balance a game against him since he so damn good at the dekes and controls.

He is a Red Wings fan, I keep them close, 4 to 3 or 5 to 3. Myers is beast and so is Ennis in this game.
We went on Xbox Live last night, played some dude with my step son and I on co-op, it was a blast.

Glad he enjoys the game and was more than happy to share the moments with me.

I hate the fact that online games are usually close. I would be up 2-0 with a few other people on the EASHL, but our AI goalie would take a shit and let in 2 weak goals. Only a few games I've played I've won with maybe 5 goals or so.

I'm having a bast with BAP actually, granted I've played about 20 games in 2 careers (one as a tough guy and the other as a 2 way defender) and NEVER gotten an assist, but it feels great to get a hattrick as a defender.

I think the GM mode is full of shit, I started out a season with the oilers 8-1-1 and ended up 36-38-andsomething. Wtf.

I've enjoyed the very limited time I've played 11 and find it better than 10. The passing isn't bad, just something you need to get used to, and you need to turn the game speed up is all.
