That Montador has been a dependable beast so far this season, and is near the top of the NHL in +/- as well as blocked shots.

That is all.

He is actually tied for first for +/- in the NHL with +9. How about that.

I would like to also point out Tyler Myers is at the bottom of the league for +/-.

Loved Montador last season as well. Myers is showing his age this year.

Ya PSP, this was a very solid signing for the club. Great to see him thriving here in Buffalo.

Monty is a guy who isn't ever going to be a top 2 guy, but he is a solid 3-4 guy who can eat minutes and give you some offense.

He's like any other dependable d-man out there, but I'm glad we got him. He's one of the unsung heroes on teams that win, never gets enough credit for what he does, but he is one of the guys you can't win without.

I don't know what his numbers are, but Butler is playing like a man who likes the idea of playing in the NHL on a regular basis. He's made a couple of very correctable mistakes here and there but nothing worth fretting over. He is skating fast and he has moved the puck with quick decisiveness and precision.

Weber didn't play poorly either.

No...I said that Steve Montador is hot, not a goofy, inbred looking version of him.

I would like to point out that when Morrissonn (sp i know) comes back our D will be even more solid. The guy always makes the right play and generally just knows what he's doing.

I remember when we were all like
DO NOT WANT
when we signed him, (or at least thats how i remember it) and he proved us wrong. That guy is amazing.

Hey I like Monty...just as long as he doesn't blow out a tire and cough up the puck that results in a GWG for the other team

I remember I actually DID want Montador.

Also, Myers isn't in the bottom of the basement anymore- Jumbo Joe now has the worst +/- in the league.

Yea, most people were saying how worthless Monty was. He does his job the way he needs to do it. Can move the puck when needed and pass it away when needed.

Yes he has lost the puck by blowing out a tire a few times, but it happens to the best of them sometimes.

Montador has been one of our biggest bargains.

Other than his "once every dozen games I look like I've never had feet before for about thirty seconds" moments, he's been extremely solid.
