Well, here we go again.

I will say Buffalo could have won this game, they missed many chances, but then again, Philly missed quite a few as well. As I always say, no excuses.
Where are our Veterans and finishers?

TRANSITION, PUCK CONTROL, SOUND PASSING, these are fundamentals in hockey, the Sabres clearly do not have them early in this season. And its not just the young kids. Veterans for Christ sake, Veterans playing like shit.
And the woes continue for a team that looks like Bob Barkers call for Spay and Neuter has been answered in Sabreland.

Luke Adam is going to be a decent NHLer. He needs this season down in Portland, but all in all, good positioning, both on the rush and with his body when he has the puck.

Montador once again is a trooper.

Connolly, Hecht? You play fucking Hockey in the NHL, work started at 7:30pm, not at 9:40pm.

I know Miller is alotted some slack here in Buffalo, but honestly, he looked very off at times tonight.
He most certainly is not going to put up the numbers he did last season at this pace.
But I have been asking myself these last few games if he is going to see the writing on the wall here in Buffalo and ask for a life boat to leave the ship.

Every point is critical, with 12% of the season played a clearly disfunctional team is giving a clearer picture of itself.

Lindy Ruff must be livid.

What baffles me is the lack of passion from the coach, the GM, THE OWNER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only wince in pain as I continue to watch this season progress.

I agree too, the team played the first 10 minutes of the game and the last ten, if they don't put in a full 60 minute effort they won't win.

You can take the entire second period off and expect to win a game like this.

Defensive breakdowns, blown coverages, Myers playing like shit, Miller being a headcase, and Ennis constantly passing back instead of forward is why this team lost today.

My take on the game,

PP- STOP WITH THE FUCKING DROP PASS, one guy hits the zone with speed, 4 others standing there, have no choice but to back pass into their PK if you get picked up. Dumbest fucking power play strategy I've ever seen, period.

Vanek- Thank you for being the player we all know you should be, now do it 65 more times this season.

Roy- God damn man, you look brilliant one shift, and look like one of Jerry's kids the next

Connolly- Do us all a favor, buy a gun, and eat a bullet...you fucking suck, and you couldn't make a good hockey play if your life depended on it.

Weber- You got beat once, other than that, amazing, physical, smart game. Nice work kid

Gerbe- Please let Tyler Myers eat you, because you work harder than anyone I've ever seen, but you still lack any finishing skill what so ever.

Ennis- Decent game, but didn't get it done when it mattered. Pass the puck into the corners kid, this isn't the AHL anymore, these defenders can SKATE WITH YOU.

Monty- This teams anchor

Myers- Wishy washy game, good at times bad at others.

Rivet- Just retire, you're too beat up to play at a high level, and it's not fair to Sekera to have to sit while you fuck up every shift with a stupid pass, or a shot that makes the hotdog vender duck and cover.

Everyone else, just show up and play 60 minutes, please. Weak ass effort after the Philly tying goal, until about the 12:30 mark in the 3rd.

It's bad news when Steve Montador is the best player on the team

We don't have a "go to" guy, who we can count on to score those important goals.

I have busted on people getting too "end of days" earlier in the season but I have to say now, I'm getting tired of this shit.

What do we have for her.

Well Bob, for fly as hale its a gastly trip down "No CLUTCH performers lane" and she can get there via "The LACK of LEADERSHIP" on the Buffalo Sabres.

Yes Bob, fly as hale will be enjoying a tanked season by her beloved hockey team and the driver of this TRAIN WRECK is none other then Darcy "NO BALLS" Regier, General Fuck-Up Extrodaniare. :( :( :( :(

New Jersey has a clutch scorer now...

This mediocre performance and effort, along with the other nine games, comes down to mental preparation and the mental toughness to put in a full effort every game. Another reason that I can't stress enough is that the organization chose to ice a team 5 million under the cap. That not only puts them at a disadvantage personnel wise, but it's informed the entire roster that the organization isn't willing to put in a full effort to win. How far above and beyond should these players feel like going when it's clear that the organization doesn't want to do the same thing?

I still believe we're one of the most talented teams in the league. That's what makes it so fucking frustrating...

I hate to bring it up, and I understand maybe these guys need some time to gel, but does anyone honestly think we would be doing this bad had we kept both, or at least one of, Tallinder or Lydman? Surely we could have had either for Leopold's contract. I know niether is having an exceptional year, but maybe that veteran experience of someone who the players are comfortable with would have helped.

Who knows, maybe I'm just pulling this theory out of my ass, but last year we looked pretty stellar and were decently clutch at winning games. We were a hard team to face and won pretty methodically. Once we got the lead, we rarely gave it up. This year we look really shaky all the time and don't seem to be playing like the 6 man unit we were last year.

Tallinder and Lydman left for the term, not the money. End of story.

I don't think so. Real talent would get it done. Show off skills, like Connolly's, do nothing.

Myers is the only exception, he has the talent but doesn't show it. I'm a bit concerned about his skating. He seems to have lost his smoothness and speed. Fuck the extra pounds.

I think this is what the team looks like when Miller plays average. Last year Miller would have kept us in the game after 2 periods and the team would have won it in the third.

This idea is absurd, and it's fucking pissing me off that it continually get brought up.

You guys respect the man for his play, but when it comes to what he says, his words have no meaning? It's bullshit.

What I saw of the game, they looked like crap. I think we are seeing what we will see the rest of the season. Pretty much a .500 team. Win one, lose one. Get our back to normal 13th overall pick and keep up with this crap.

I honestly expected Myers to take a step back. Miller too. But the whole team pretty much did as well. :(
