Of course it was floated last night. The Sabres lost, which usually brings out this kind of talk. If this topic comes up in the middle of a winning streak, or even the middle of the offseason, it's not that big a deal.
It's also framed poorly.
"If Miller gets tired of the team sucking and demands a trade, where would you least want him to go?" is basically what you're asking. Why not ask it like "If Miller were ever to leave Buffalo, what team would you not want to see him on?" It's predicated on the idea that the rest of the team blows.
I'm all for interesting questions that provoke thought, but when it's done to take advantage of anger over a bad loss? Bunch of bullshit.
(This is why I can't stand being a mod sometimes. People post this kind of crap, knowing that it will rile people up, then say 'What, I was just asking a question!' when called on it. It's the same passive-agressive shit that ETC used to do, and it's downright childish. I'm not going to do anything about this thread, since it doesn't break any rules, but I just wanted to comment on this. When I blow my stack, it's because of shit like this.)
I cannot believe you're throwing a hissy fit over the way I asked this question.
Gee, everybody who responded, addressed the interesting question. You, on the other hand, flip out.
Fact is, "If Miller were ever to leave Buffalo, what team would you not want to see him on?" is a boring, detached and unemotional way of asking what I'm asking. It is completely disconnected from how this team is playing and what implications that has on the career of a goaltending star.
The impetus for the question is "aren't you sick and tired of seeing this BS play and I bet Miller is especially frustrated too---and can you blame him if he wanted to leave and where would you least want him to go?"
It's a logical and interesting progression.
Or would you prefer another thread about Connolly needing to be moved?
