Well, where to begin?

A blown 2 goal lead. Miller mis-handling the puck.
Roy's point savor with 7 seconds left is actually a positive.
But it still doesn't mask the complete collapse of this team.

Butler wasn't bad this game, not great puck handling wise, but he is steadily improving. (And I've been one of his biggest critics, my hats off to those of you that saw some value in him)

Myers..............Not a slump, but he definitely misses Tallinder. His development was setback without him, but he will still be a beast as the years progress.

Sekera showed some great play tonight, I was happy with that.

Montador, what more is there to say but THANK YOU.

A Connolly sighting yet again, its about time you showed up on a regular basis, the season starts in early Oct.

Vanek is down right pissed and it shows, can we please get him some real help.

Stafford? WTF dude, put a 60 minute balls to the wall effort in.

Our bottom 6 is a down right shame. Ennis has no line mates to run with.
Gerbe is a warrior as well. I am very impressed with this small kid. Hope he heals quick.

PLAY 60 MINUTES OF HOCKEY BOYS!!!!! COME ON NOW DAMMIT!
Ruff looked lost behind the bench.

At the end of this game, as with most others I have seen Buffalo play this season, it is abundantly clear this team needs changes, both management and player.

This is just down right embarrasing now.
As a fan, I am fucking pissed that I am subjected to this continuing failed line up.

DARCY "NO NUTS" REGIER, MAKE SOME FUCKING MOVES TO BETTER THE TEAM ALREADY!

We need our PK to get better, 2 PP goals is unacceptable. A blown 2 goal lead is also unacceptable, and 3 unanswered goals is the worst thing.

I agree with your assessment of the team. We need to play a full 60 minutes of hockey, and we need to be better in special teams.

Miller getting scored on short side, which was his glove side, which is his STRONG SIDE, by a meh shot after looking sloppy, unfocused, and out-of-position all night. Miller lost them that game.

I think that shot was better than you're giving it credit for, although Miller was down too early on it.

Defenders can't let him walk in like that with 30 seconds left.

I dunno, I'm just apathetic at this point. They're broken. They look like shit. Miller looks like a shell of a goaltender compared to the last 4 years.

I won't profess to know what they could even do.

Two really positive things about this game.

1. Burmistrov. I'm sorry, but that kids smile after scoring his first NHL goal reminded me why we play hockey. It was Christmas for him.

2. The team gutted out a point. A lot of things went wrong, but it was great to see the team tough it out in the final seconds to send it into overtime. Funny, the Atlanta announcer had just got done giving Montador high praise and the next thing you know Buffugly tied his skates together.

Miller needs a game or two off, he needs to rekindle that hunger and that focus that made him the leagues best last season. It's too early to be thinking about coasting into the playoffs, the team needs him to be a little bit better.

Connolly brought his A game, Vanek was a no-show. That #1 line keeps on waiting for the bounces instead of working for them. They gotta get more physical. Physical. They need to get physical. Let's get into physical.

It was a good shot, yes. And I love Big Buff, so I'm not exactly discounting it. But Miller has saved MUCH MUCH MUCH better shots and looked much more routine doing it.

This team has lost their passion, so has the coach. Something needs to change.
But until then, I can't wait to hear the cookie cutter excuses and lines tonight.

"We worked hard, but just couldn't get the bounces."
"It's unacceptable, but there's no need to panic, it's only October."

blah, blah, blah.

Miller Schmiller. The team let the wheels fall off starting with yet another Roy brainless maneuver. They could have grabbed the bull by the balls by scoring on the 2 man adv. If you want a turning point, there it is. That's dumb hockey, and a good coach demotes players who cause the team to lose a sure win.

Listed attendance was 10172. That seems high with the upper deck curtained off and lower bowl empty.

Mmmmmm...........agreed, the loss of Tallinder and Lydman definitelty up-ended the defense on this team.
But then, If you review my posts from last season, I, and some others, were already stating that if they went with youth on D to move on to the next generation, this season was up in the air. We now know what we have.

Squanto, knowing that its going to take a season or 2 to get this young D to gel (and with Rivet leaving, Its going to solidify a Sekera or Weber in that spot), do you agree it would be a wise and prudent decision to move atleast some of the core to bring in a young, talented superstar to anchor the forwards? A Bobby Ryan type (and that doesn't mean Ryan himself) that has a season or 2 under them with success and brings that mind set to Buffalo?

Wouldn't it be nice if Regier started it.

I've never been against moving anyone on this roster except Miller and Myers.

At this point, I don't think it would be enough. If they can't hold a 2-0 lead with their captain a healthy scratch, one or two players just won't be enough.

I think slesh has a crush on Bobby, seriously. I'm a huge Bobby fan, but come on. Sure, he's everything we wanted Vanek to be, but he's a rare breed.

Fuck this team. This group of players we have right now lack two things, talent and desire. I'm sick and fucking tired of looking forward to hockey night only to be let down by these fucking idiots. Sloppy, apathetic plays and unfocused bullshit. When are we going to hold Ruff to these problems? When are we going to get a trade worth talking about? Meh, I'll start paying attention again when the Sabres start playing like they care. We deserve better than this shit.

The infection is spreading and there is no stopping it. Miller was the last person I thought would get it. We always seen that passion from him, until this season. Has he realized that the Vezina is the only trophy he'll win with this team????

I had a bad feeling when my Center Ice was renewed that I would be regretting spending the money....
