Bad bad bad bad bad...this is not hockey, this is scumbag douchebaggery at it's finest. Someone could get seriously hurt from those sticks, especially hitting someone around the face. If Briere missed and hit him in the throat, with that kind of force, he could have done serious damage to his airway.

Briere should get 30 games for this, but will only get 5 because he puts asses in the seats.

It's been reported by a few guys today that Briere is considered a repeat offender by the NHL. What did he do last season that has earned him that title?

He earned suspensions in Buffalo for spearing, and one game for a high stick that wasn't penalized because he wasn't in control of his stick.

True, but the NHL has a games played statue of limitations on being called a repeat offender. It's around a half season or something, which is why I'm curious about what he did last season to earn the tag again.

He's always been pretty dirty. I never liked him even when he played for us for that reason... I would have more respect for him, or at least some, if he would admit to it and not deny deny deny every time evidence is presented to him in press conferences lol. Even the dirty players at least typically acknowledge that they did something wrong, though they always claim they didn't mean it.

Brierre has a lot of bad karma heading this way. I know that he thinks he's some kind of tough guy playing for the Cryers, but he's nothing but a little punk ass bitch just like the rest of them. They made him change his name from Danielle to Danny to appease the homophobic, machoism Philadelphia masses, and ever since he's been throwing elbows to heads, high sticking people in the head, and slew footing.

That's fine. He will get his medicine.

And THAT is why it's good to wear a visor. If Nielson isn't wearing one he probably gets his nose broken.

A lot of Phlyer fans are saying that they're happy Danny finally stood up for himself and Nielson deserves an oscar. Is every Phlyer fan a fucking douche bag or is it my imagination? These fucks are appluading this shit and some of them are only complaining that it was a dumb move to do it right in front of the ref. Classy.

I have a hard time imagining someone here laughing and being proud if someone on our team smacked a guy across the teeth like that. I mean we were pissed at Kaleta for the headbutt and charging hit. Yeah Philly

danny has a serious napoleon complex and has always veered on the edge of being very dirty because of it. i'm seriously shocked he only got 3 games. but then again, that seems like the going rate for doing anything in this league right now. stupid collin campbell.

I like how they mentioned Hjalmarsson returning. I'm sure the NHL felt confident that the Sabres would do absolutely nothing to him and thats why he returned when he did. Danny Boy would get his head taken off if they sent him back the day they play the islanders.
