According to WGR550, the team practiced without goaltender Ryan Miller on Monday. Goalie coach Jim Corsi was manning the net opposite to Patrick Lalime.

Could Miller possibly have an injury (which could explain his off play a little further) or was it just a rest day?

Probably just an off day for him. It's not like they play tonight anyways.

If Miller is hurt for any extended period, they will be fucked beyond belief.

If he is hurt for a long time, we will have a serious shot at a top 3 pick. I doubt he will be out long, if at all really.

I don't think it's a big deal... Lindy fully expects him to practice today, so I'm sure they just gave him the day off yesterday because he was just a little sore and they didn't want him to tweak anything.

I hope Miller's lower body injury was soreness. Last thing the Sabres need is a Hasek-like groin injury during the 2000 season. That was not cool.

Sabres goalie Ryan Miller returned to practice this morning in the Northtowns Center after taking Monday off to rest what was termed as a "lower-body" injury. Coach Lindy Ruff expected his No. 1 goalie to be ready for Wednesday night's game against Boston in HSBC Arena.

Ruff was vague about the injury, saying only that Miller was feeling tightness that required treatment Saturday in Dallas and again Sunday back in Buffalo. Ruff also said Miller wasn't injured in a 4-3 overtime loss to Atlanta last Friday.

The Sabres will need Miller this week. They play Boston tomorrow and Montreal on Friday with both games in HSBC Arena before playing in Toronto on Saturday.

What he means is Ryan hasn't seen his girl in a while. She showed up to the game in Dallas, and flew with him back to Buffalo.

That's my take on the "tightness" he was feeling.

From Bill Hoppe's Twitter:

#Sabres goalie Ryan Miller is questionable for tomorrow's game against #Boston #Bruins w/lower body injury.

:(
