He better be healthy by Friday. I've been waiting all year to go with my buddy to see the Sabres play the Canadiens and Miller has to get injured NOW.

Reading this has made me tear inside a little bit. I don't really wanna see what the sabres are like without having miller in net. It's gonna either be really ugly tomorrow or this somehow inspires them to pick up their play and they light up thomas for his first loss of the year.

does anyone remember the kids first (and only) game was a 4-0 loss to the bruins? it may be a bad idea throwing him back into the fire against the team that lit him up his first game with the big boys

I bet Enroth would do much better since he has preseason NHL time and a regular game under his belt, plus good AHL time under his belt.

I hope he starts. Could show off some super skills then.

So per WGR550 Miller will not be playing tonight and is listed as "day to day" by head coach lindy ruff.

"Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller will not play tonight against the Boston Bruins. Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff says that Miller is "day to day". WGR's Paul Hamilton reports that Patrick Lalime and Jhonas Enroth took all the reps at the skate, while Miller just watched. Miller missed practice earlier this week due to lower body tightness. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. "

I honestly don't think I can do this anymore. Watching my favorite team fall apart is killing me. Miller's hurt, Lindy has lost the team, and the team is losing ground. I'm seriously considering taking a break from this team. It's not healthy for me.

Common folks, it's not time to jump ship just yet.

I know things look real shitty right now. Ok, they are really shitty, but when shit is smeared on the floor, you don't say fuck it and leave it there all greasy and stuff. You get a roll of Bounty, some pine sol (Or a steel scrubbing pad if shit has been left for too long and has dried), roll up your shirt sleeves and start cleaning that shit up!

A couple wins and this teams mindset changes. Ya just gatta believe!

With the Sabres' dismal record and Miller being injured, we're at rock bottom right now... Can't go anywhere except up at this point.

Maybe with Miller out the Sabres will finally get a spark and start winning some games. But that's what everyone said when he sprained his ankle a few years ago and the Sabres slipped out of playoff contention and never recovered. I just hope Miller isn't out longer than like a week. They need to start playing catch up NOW.

I'd prefer they not finish bottom three in the Conference, at least...

We are currently tied with Edmonton and Florida(I think) for the second worst record in the league.

We're at rock bottom too PP.

Is it weird that I'm not that freaked out over Miller being hurt because we already sucked with him in the lineup anyways? Like obviously I'm upset that he's hurt, but it's not like it was when he sprained his ankle a few years ago. When you got nothin' you got nothin' to lose.

But seriously...a small part of me is afraid that they are downplaying his injury by not divulging what it is and just listing him as "day-to-day". I had a feeling when he wasn't at practice and Lindy said he anticipated him playing against Boston that it would end up like this.

I wouldn't put too much worry on why Miller is out tonight, fly. I think it may just be a combo of Miller + the coaching staff erring on the side of caution. I think he could play, but as opposed to pushing things and risking him in there knowing that running the net is a big part of the Bruins game, it's best to give him a little more time. He did practice yesterday so that is a good sign. Not saying they're tossing Lalime/Enroth infront of a bullet, but if you don't have to risk Miller then I wouldn't bother putting him in there with the knuckle dragging B's in town.

Like anything, we'll have to wait and see if anything is reported on it.

Actually.....

East
13. Florida 9GP 8pts
14. Buffalo 12GP 8pts
15. Devils 13GP 7pts

West
13. Phoenix 10GP 9pts
14. Anaheim 12GP 9pts
15. Edmonton 10GP 8pts

Overall, Edmonton and Florida are tied with Buffalo in pts, but have 2 & 3 games-in-hand respectively.

The only team that is clearly below the Sabres IS the Devils: They've played 1 more game, but have one less point.

Forget the Sabres, the Devils mess is a bigger mystery this season---even with having to play a couple roster slots short at times. Many thought last season that if Miller & Meyers were in a slump, the team would tank. What's the Devils excuse?

I don't care about games in hand, because it doesn't matter, they go by the point totals in this league.

Because at the end of the 82 games, everyone has the same amount of games played.
