Sounds like a crock of shit... It would have to be more serious than a guy falling on his knee to require surgery. Unless they are lying about how he hurt his knee. I hate when people post dumbass rumors like that with no substance to back it up aside from "I heard it through someone who knows someone and blah blah blah."

The best post in that thread:

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Miller pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Normally fly, I would say yes, its a crock.
Except, they called up Enroth, and a friend of mine with the Pirates tells me they don't expect him back soon...........

What does calling up Enroth have anything to do with the longevity of Miller's injury? They would have called him up whether Miller was going to be out for 1 game or 20 games.

I don't really care what people's "friends" have to say about anything. I know of way too many instances when people get false information and run with it because they want to pretend like they have insider information when really they are just talking out of their ass.

Enroth HAD to be called up for the Sabres wouldn't be able to ice a full roster. It's against NHL rules to not have two goaltenders. If Enroth wasn't expected back in Portland any time soon, they wouldn't have signed Leggio's back-up to an ATO.

My neighbor's gardener said that Ruff has prostate cancer and will be stepping down in a week. Montador will be the new coach.

Miller being out 4 to 5 months is a dream down the pipeline. At best, he will be back this week, likely Monday.

I refuse to even click on that link to some other fan forum.

They don't know shit. Neither does anyone else besides Miller and the team.

1. Lindy was asked point blank if Miller needed surgery and he laughed and flat out "No, it's just a muscle pull".
2. Miller is listed day-to-day...what would the team gain by lying about the seriousness of his injury?

Sorry, doesn't pass the sniff test.

Ya Cross, I just posted it to see if anyone else had info on it.
I haven't seen anything in the Buffalo News on it either. So i'm guessing he'll be back sometime this month.

NHL Network said last night that he's out "indefinitely", whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I assume the team is off today, but I expect an update on Miller's status tomorrow.

Indefinitely just means until further notice.

I wouldn't take it as a good sign at all. Now I'm nervous.

They always use that term for everything.

It has no set time frame is all it means, it's just until further notice, most of the time it means until it gets reviewed again.

That is why it is used so much in hockey.

Miller missing an extended period of time would be the pickle on our turd burger of a season.

Hopefully he'll be back soon, if not this week...

Indefinitely does not mean anything. The NHL Network was using what Friday sources it had available.
