Anyone with the slightest interest in winning should care if he's a problem. He's supposed to provide leadership on and off the ice, and no amount of off the ice encouragement seems to be working...

Just curious, is english your first language?

Yes, English is my primary language. I doubt it is of importance in this topic.

Don't worry man. Some people like to be dicks from time to time on this forum.

What? How is asking him if english is his first language being a dick? There is absolutely nothing in my original post which lends itself to you interpreting that, the way he phrases his sentences made me think an asian language was his primary tongue, and that english came second.

Nice job jumping to conclusions though Jordan.

Sorry man it sounds like you had some sarcasm on the go there. But now that you know that English is his first language how does your comment look? Sorta like an insult. Why make any comment at all?

How does it sound sarcastic? Are we really such a collective group of pansy-asses that a very direct question must be seen as making fun of him? I didn't say "You sound like a fortune cookie, where you from boy?" I just said "Just curious, is English your first language?" Because the way he phrases some things I find reminiscent of a person who learned to construct Asian sentences before English sentences.

How does my comment look now that I 'know' he learned English first? The exact freaking same it did beforehand.

Why make any comment at all? because this is a forum where we talk to each other. I've had very few interactions with either you or sabretooth, and I don't know why you went directly to pissy instead of asking me to clarify.

Thanks Daz, good to know STARTING the discussion, and discussing the topic with yourself and others isnt 'adding' to it.

Easy bro, I wasn't singling you out at all. My comment was in general. Sorry if you took it that way. I never said you were being a dick here. I guess I should have snipped some of the previous posts, my bad.

This was what I thought was win. That sometimes people are dicks, so don't worry. I forgot to snip Raleigh's comment.

Edit: anyhow, I think we just need to forget these misunderstandings, and get back on Rivet's ass.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I wonder if he's thought of giving the C to someone else, kind of gather everyone around in the locker room and be like "hey, it's time this moves on to ______" (insert player worthy of captaincy).

I wonder if Lindy has thought about giving it to someone else as well. Probably not, he doesnt seem a big fan of drastic change.

Any change in captaincy will occur when Rivet leaves at the trade deadline or at the opening of next year's free aganet market. Unless we have a single guy to wear the "C," we will likely ice three alternates or rotate it on a monthly basis, both epic fail.

The way things are shaping up, Montador could not only earn the "C" but a nice big 3.5/year contract this summer. He's having one of those epic-type contract years that make player agents drool.

Montador's staying is a necessity.

I'd be happy with Monty having the C.

Well, better that than being tossed off the puck like a rag doll (Kennedy) by Recchi to set up the GWG.

Christ that whole series still bugs the shit out of me.

Found the link to a Sabres twitterer in another topic, and thought this was interesting:
Quote:
Not seeing captain Craig Rivet on ice this morning.

Is Rivet returning to playing bad and needing something mroe than a healthy scratch, or is it something legitimately serious?

Out with the Flu from the trade rumor involving him.
