Did you see Lalime after they won, he was damn near jumping up and down on the ice. That guy has a great attitude for being a backup to a rookie goalie from the AHL.

I'm guessing unless you're the hardest asshole ever, that you've got to get a bit excited seeing the young guy come up and win a game, in what, his second NHL game? In a shootout? I just cant imagine patty being anything other than the ultra-supportive team player that he is.

Man, Enroth looked MUCH better tonight. Not that i'd pick him over Lalime at the moment, but it's nice to see the kid have a bit of success after, such non-success.

We need to sit vanek, if only to stop the embarrassment of dressing someone who shows up to games on Quaaludes.

Ennis was freaking fantastic, I cant believe this kids hands and speed, he's the speedy playmaker I was always expecting Kennedy to become (and I still think we should have kept kennedy)

Nice to have a win. Now how about TWO wins...(gasp)...IN A ROW!?

I saw that too, and was really happy.

That's pretty much the reason why he was resigned. Even when Miller wins games Lalime gets all giddy and what not. He's a great guy off the ice and really supportive to the people around him. But we all know this.

Beating Toronto just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Its almost like being a kid, opening that one gift you've been waiting to open all morning, then the satisfaction of getting to play with it all morning.
Ya, that about sums up what beating Toronto does for me.

I always love to torment their fans. Last night, this couple was in their 50's, Sorry man, I just couldn't resist rubbing it in. They kept jawing in my ear all game about how Buffalo was the worst team in the league (especially the wife, man, she was brutal, my wife was ready to kick her ass by the 2nd intermission as she kept throwing digs at the Sabres).
After Ennis scored in the shootout, I just couldn't help myself, I turned to my left, looked her and her husband in the eye and said "Did I just the worst team in the league beat your Maple Leafs? And with a rookie Goalie to boot? Looks like Boston is in for another top 5 pick this coming draft".
Man, my wife just giggled, and I winked at e'm when I said it. They took it in stride though and had a chuckle out of it. I have to admit, they were decent sports about it.

It was just one of those moments I'll soon not forget. Especially since I called Ennis at the start of the game as the one that they needed to watch out for. Perfect timing from the kid.

Thank you burner087 for starting the post game thread. Its greatly appreciated.

SORRY FOLKS, but I turn the big 40 on Wed. and this evening my wife took me out.
Phil, thanks for the info, she took me to Buffalo BrewPub? Or something along that name on Main and Transit.

Oh folks, what a time I had. Happy pre 40th to slesh, happy birthday to me. And Ennis gave me a pre B-Day gift I have longed for since the start of the season.

I sat next to a couple from Toronto who so wanted thier team to win, and I kept warning them about Ennis. Man, what a come through moment from this kid for me.

WAY TO GO BUFFALO!!!!!!

But lets not get to excited folks. After all, this was the Leafs, and we still have major problems with our roster.

But, in all fairness, they won a game, good for them, great for US FANS!!!

Transition was still way to slow, Enroth looked much, much better.
Puck control was the same, but atleast I saw some battles being won down low for the puck.

Good win tonight, need improvement to move forward.

P.S. On a side note, where in the hell is Vanek? Show up on the score sheet please.

Congrats Slesh!

I was going to say that you probably were celebrating that they actually won a game and couldn't get to a PC. :)
