How could they have lost this game?

Enroth looked ok, still out of position from time to time and why no penalty for interference back in the 1st period?
Roy, Vanek, what the fuck was the 2 on 1 all about in OT?
I don't like how Myers stands infront of our own net like a totem pole.

Not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, a point is a point, but this game should have been ours.
I have to wonder, we've seen Hecht at Center these last 2 games now, are the Sabres preparing for Connolly to be moved? Any one have thoughts on this?

It was a good game, I was impressed with the team's effort... But god damn, so many missed opportunities. It wasn't just the failed Vanek-Roy 2-on-1, although that one hurt the most given the circumstances. What's with Leopold not taking the puck on the game winner? What's with Connolly and Myers just standing there watching that one Rangers goal? And most importantly, what's with Vanek never, ever shooting the puck?! The proponents are all there, but this team needs to start playing smarter.

Myer's job is to stand in front of the net like that, the other defensemen's job is to go after the puck and puck carrier when it is on that side o the ice, when it shifts, so do the defenders.

Also, it was a good game by the entire team, just failed to capitalize on some chances of course, but one point tonight, I'll gladly take it. Ties us with Toronto with 13.

That was another really entertaining game, I especially enjoyed the part when the Sabres got a goal right back after giving one up. Something they seemed to be on the other end of a lot, earlier in this season.

Enroth was good and lucky, he's a little better then I thought but he really does have some polishing to do before making a career at the NHl level. Quickly freezing the puck is a pretty good place to start.

If Vanek keeps playing that way he's going to find himself with a goal scoring streak. Haha you thought I was gonna rip on him!

Nice game by Neidermeyer, really wish he would have finished one of those chances though.

I am a little troubled by Vanek not shooting more, just not on the play near the end of overtime.

Interesting catch on ze German... I did not realize that, and I'll agree with Harry, Hecht probably had his best game of the year tonight and showed up a lot last night... he seems to be getting into rhythm where ever he has played the last 2 games so keep him there....

I think the entire team needs to shoot more, lol....

And WHY, OH WHY! can the ennis-roy-vanek line get out of there own end? it seems like that line gets hemmed into their own end way more than they should? noticed this last night too...

Vanek and Tim Connolly are talking way too much. Lindy has to tell Vanek not to listen to Connolly about passing or holding onto the puck, obviously.

We should be lucky we got into OT with that glaringly shitty call on the no goal.

I hate losing to the Rangers. I just cannot stand that team for some reason. :(

Ya, I didn't say anything, but that was a goal by my standards as well.
Not that Biron played much better though, that puck across the crease, man was lucky the shaft of his stick was there.

Vanek probably will be a scratch on Monday against Montreal because his twins will be delivered on Monday.
If Lindy doesn't bench him, nature does.

Yeah, we deserved the loss, but at least we got a point.

Are we sure those are his kids? I mean, he's so reluctant to shoot.... :p

Overall not a bad game for having an AHL goalie in there. Atleast we got the point.

I do think on our goals against there could have been much better coverage. On the OT winner, it seemed like Leopold could have just taken the puck and gone with it, instead we decide to not take that chance and the Rangers take it right back. On the Rangers 2nd goal, we just waited for that to happen? Really? Play defensive.

Enroth was given no help on all 3 goals.

Edit: And with Leopold I meant the part at 3:34 left in overtime, not when the puck was bouncing around in the middle of our zone.

I disagree totally on their second goal of the game, Butler was on his knees trying to block that pass to the front of the net and it just got by him, we ended up doing the exact same play to them on our second goal, EXACT same.

Butler played it how he should have, try to block that pass from happening because he would have dished it right away if Butler got any closer to him.

I'm not disappointed with that game at all. As a whole, it was a decent effort. There were some individuals who messed up here and there, but overall, it was good. Was it Butler that made the pass to Leopold as he came out of the box? Whoever made that pass, it was perfect, and a great heads-up play.

Vanek's gotta get out of his own head. Maybe Caro can take a break from working on Miller and see if Tommy boy needs some extra attention.
