THOMAS VANEK!!!!!!!

It took overtime, which I am not happy with at all, but, fuck me in the hershey highway, THOMAS VANEK smokes, no, dangles, no, straight out walks in and takes the game.

My prediction was 0 - 5 in the next 5. This team has started off by proving a skeptic such as myself wrong.
It doesn't help that it was overtime, but a win is a win, especially at home.

Great play by the team against the leagues best all around.

I am very happy with this win.
WAY TO GO RYAN MILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

He won this game for us on the Ovechkin breakaway.

Vanek on that play was like, "Ah shit. I need to skate out to get the puck.. (Thinking to himself...fucking people wanna hate me for not shooting. They wanna HATE...They wanna hate ME!?!?!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHFUCKTHISMOTHERFUCKINGSHITAHHHHH!!!!)

And then he wins everything. Even the goalie's jock strap. Even Boudreau's jock strap.

The end.

Edit: Post edit to add dramatic picture of Vanek saying AHHHHHFUCKTHISMOTHERFUCKINGSHITAHHHHH!!!!

Holy Axe body wash with ball scrubber!
:o

You could see it building in Vanek, he was scary in the last game. Tonight he was just as fired up, but the team got rewarded with results.

Miller was great!

The team back checked hard and forechecked hard for 60+ minutes.

The Caps were very careless with their sticks in this one, and Kaleta also did a nice job of agitating another 4 minutes of PP time. It's very important to be the more disciplined team first the Caps, their power play is too good.

Points in 4 straight, and 4 straight overtime games! 3 wins!

Good stuff, good stuff indeed.

Myers, dude get your skates checked! That's like the 5th blown tire this season!

Very nice win. Nice for Miller to get a win in his first game back, nice for Grier to win the game where they celebrated his 1000th game, and of course, nice for Vanek to score the game winner on a SICK goal.

And wasn't Grier's family the cutest thing ever?! Awwww omg. :')

I know, right? It goes from bad to total shit storm. The only positive is that Myers is going to become really good at making plays from the prone position very soon.

BTW, did anybody else notice at around the 13:30 mark of the 1st when the Sabres PbP guy said, "And Connolly is on his knees giving it too Roy." lol I laughed.

PIVOTAL TIME:

Afer a HUGE win like this (first home win, Vanek out of hibernation, shutting down offensive powerhouse, etc. etc.), the Sabres of the last few seasons would immediately get carried away with themselves and start screwing off again---but can they/will they keep playing hard like this?

What's your guess?
