THANKS LALIME!!!!!!!

Where were the scorers tonigh?
Oh, thats right, I keep forgetting we have Connolly, Hecht, Rivet and 3 fourth lines on this team.
What is with Lindy punishing Ennis by replacing him with Gerbe?

A game we should have won. But this is a repeat of games I've seen through out this season.

PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE A MOTHER FUCKING TRADE ALREADY TO BETTER THE OFFENSE!!!!!

Ok, I'm done.

Thoughts?

this was as winnable as it gets. Tampa Bay pretty much sat back and let Buffalo take shots at them through the entire 3rd period.

Lalime obviously made the biggest bone headed move of the game. Seems like he wants to continue losing. If Miller is out for any extended period he better be backing up Enroth and not the other way around.

They still need better offensive talent. They can never capitalize on any of their good scoring chances. But that won't change any time soon.

We had occasional scoring until we had a no-bull number 1 line. Now, we need some secondary scoring for the nights when the first line just isn't getting it done.

In the first period I thought to myself, "Damn Miller looks razor sharp in this one, wait did he change his jersey number? Whao that's Lalime? Nice!".

Ironically, the last guy I've seen get destroyed by a hit and then get up and score a wicked goal seconds later is the same player that I keep suggesting that they should trade Vanek for. Malkin. The way things are shaping up, the Penguins would have to sweeten the deal, not the Sabres.

Spitting blood = greatest goal celebration ever. That's a hockey player.

Lalime made an absolutely retarded play, WTH was he thinking? That goal took the wind out of my sail, the arenas, and quite possibly the teams. it was a good game up until then. But THE MOST troubling aspect of that incident is how the team failed to pick their teammate up. I've seen many a team draw upon the inspiration to defy a catastrophic mishap and get that next goal. The Sabres kind of let that deflate them, that's not a good sign.

The power play wasn't too lame but they need to find another way other than the missionary position, spice things up!

Butler > Rivet.

Shooter tutor > Pomminville.

I would like to see Myers get more involved offensively. You know like faking a shots, stepping around a guy from the point. He played fine but I don't know, he seems like he could be a more potent weapon and they need to do something to make up for the lack of scoring depth.

This game was epic fail. Lalime was useless. Unless Miller returns by Tuesday, Enroth gets the next start.

Vanek for Malkin, plus some extras?

I'd have to think about that. Vanek is good and most Sabre fans wouldn't go for it, but depending on the extras, that may be soemthing to consider. Perhaps throw in a little Pascal Dupuis to sweeten the deal?

I wish we done that earlier when Vanek was playing bad. Fortunately, we have Rivet, Connolly, and Stafford to trade away before the deadline to get some bodies worthwhile to win now and later.

How about Vanek for Malkin AND either Dupusi or Alex Goligoski?

DONE!

Listen to the Lalime interview. Darth Vader is a camera man for Sabres TV. Fuck yeah!

So Lalime causes a gaf and we lose. Shit decision for sure on how to play the puck but tell me something....

If Miller, Enroth, Hasek, Fuhr, Malarchuk or Tom fucking Barrasso make the same mistake, are we calling for their heads? Just so I'm fucking clear on this one because you know, I would hate to make a false assumption that it was one guy out there tonight on the ice.

Vanek and Roy are here to stay. Malkin is not reality in Buffalo. What they need is a big bodied, scoring Right Winger (Dustin Penner, Ales Hemsky).
This may or may not address the Roy/Vanek line.

More importantly is the conributions of scoring line 2, Hecht, Connolly, Pomminville.
This line needs to be addressed and immediately, without hesitation.

What is Regier and Ruff going to do? I don't know, ask them.

Granted, Lalime made an incredibly sloppy mistake, but it was only 1 of 2 scored on him. This attitude speaks to the point I made in another thread about the double standard applied to backups the Sabres beat vs. backups who lose the Sabres a game. Backups are backups for a reason. And yes, there is a wide range of backups quality-wise, but by and large, the differences between starters and backups are often more subtle (even for Lalime) than the mistake Lalime made tonight.

I think this line needs to be blown up. Some players need to either be demoted to the line below them or in the press box.

I blamed Lalime for tonight's loss but Missy tweeted "Winning a game is a team effort. Even if the goalie sucks there are 5 other people on the ice not doing their jobs." Boosh

I actually felt bad for the guy. He'd been stopping Stamkos all night and then THAT happens.

Ennis/Malkin/Stafford
Hecht/Roy/Pomminville

I'm just saying, that's what it would look like. Connolly of course gets dumped for a 4th rounder. When you got Roy centering your second line, you have scoring depth. And with Kassian eventually replacing Stafford, me like.

I love Vanek though, if they can find another way to improve the team and keep him I'm all for it.

You realize we started winning once Stafford was out... and out of the top 6... Stafford needs to GO! Along with Connley... NO to Staff in the top 6....
