As a first time home buyer searching for places to settle into by 2011, one of my criteria is a yard large enough to build my own rink.

Don't put up the wall, that's dangerous for the summer sports.

Just do a concrete pad, and raise it up a little bit. Build in anchor points for boards, and attach them in the winter when you flood it.
