I see Kennedy going back to Portland in the next 10 games, unless he does what Ice said, really Wows the coach.

He will be the first call-up no matter what.

Mark my words; Kennedy isn't going anywhere.

Ruff wants to have 3 lines; each with a center that can set up plays and be a pain in the ass to chase, and a 4th line that hits and grinds.

Roy, Connolly, and Kennedy fit the bill. And the kids going to get better with every game. I've already seen improvements with the first 3.

At this point in his career, we don't have anyone else on the roster that could do a better job.

Yeah. But when has that ever stopped Lindy from playing cap over talent or merit?

We've been howling about this for a couple/three years, now.

Examples?

Not trying to be a smart ass... I just really can't recall any off the top of my head.

It wouldn't make sense for Lindy to care about cap number anyways. He's a coach; his job is to put the best team possible out on the ice. Why should he care what they're getting paid?

I liked him in the top 6 alot and was kinda iffy about him jumping down onto that line with Goose and Grier, but their forecheck mixed with his vision and sneakiness gave them some pretty decent shifts when they were out together. I wouldn't mind keeping the lines as:
Van - Roy - Staff (Keep em together though now that Stafford is back from injury)
Mac - Timmy - Pommers (I really would like to see a VCP top line but I think Clark needs Timmy more)
Kennedy - Goose - Grier (as much as I liked Hecht up here, Kennedy adds that young offensive spark)
Hecht - Mair/Ellis - Kaleta (Solid defensively, tough, big hits, and decent veteran presence)

This gives us more depth in 2 mediocre first lines instead of one gangbusters one. Basically whoever has the better year out of Stafford and MacArthur determines what the "true" first line is, because I would say Roy/Vanek vs. Connolly/Pominville is basically a wash.

In another case though, I could definetly see Kennedy sent down, simply because we have so many roster players that are NHL ready.
Lets hope he stays up though. He's looked decent so far.

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

Kennedy will not be moving to a wing. The organization moved him to center for his stellar defensive play and vision.

How many times has Lindy sent MacArthur down, or Weber? Or sat Ellis or Paille? When they had been playing their asses off, and scored a couple of goals?

So he could play Max, or Hecht, or Tallinder? Or Peters, even?

Sometimes it may not have seemed obvious, but when Lindy screamed for accountability, then sat Mac or Paille (while playing Max or Hecht, or even Roy after one of his doozy, stinker, giveaway-loaded games...) one had to wonder what in the fuck he was talking about...

I know, that was then. But, he has yet to prove that "this is now" - Let's see what "the powers that be" do about Myers.

If they send him down, it will seal the deal on this team's ingrained stupidity and their chronic need to not rock the boat, stick with the program and put "the bottom line" first.

True... but I think those are under different circumstances.

Myers has been our best defenseman...

Try to prove me wrong.

There's no way Tyler's going back down to juniors.

In Kennedy's situation, he's a different type of player than those who would be taking his place. Fortunately for him, he's the type of player we need to play the system we're running.

As long as Kennedy keeps generating chances and pestering the other team, I don't think he's going anywhere.

I'm hoping that Kennedy remains up, and doesn't offer any reason to be sent down. He needs to be superlative; to offer no reason or excuse for this team to relegate him to the AHL.

I'm absolutely sure, in my mind and my heart-of-hearts, that Myers remains.

All the more reason to prepare myself for the futility of the "unthinkable". They say he had a great 9 games, but could use a bit more time in Kelowna (to round out his game or some other such bullshit.)

As a Sabres' fan - And I'm not saying it will happen - Such a possible eventuality would make me beat my head against a wall, until I bled from the eyes and ears - Were I not prepared for it.

I don't have the unshakeable faith, in this team and their "executive decision-making", that some fans may have.

I truly expect the worst, at all times, from both Darcy and Lindy.

That's why I'm always preaching a modicum of cynicsm.

Myers ain't going nowhere, Ice. I think Kennedy still needs to have a couple more strong games like he had in Nashville to secure a lasting spot on the roster. I believe he will.

I will believe that, when he suits up for his tenth game and plays his first shift...Before that...(?)

Kennedy can play both Center and Wing anyways, same with Gerbe.

Despite a horrible night in the face-off circle vs. PHX, Kennedy can take draws, which is something we need badly.
