I'm sick of watching the team play great, and then, as players become healthy, go to shit as those players are injected back into the lineup. Do you guys think that this status quo will continue?

I'm inclined to say no, as our captain is sitting the bench night in and night out, but...

It will. Luke Adam isn't playing well enough to stay up when Connolly is healthy (is there really an amount of production that would convince Regier to keep a $4.5M man out of the lineup? I think not).

Is a bear Catholic? Does the Pope crap in the woods?

Of course the lines will change. The lines ALWAYS change. Lindy is like some chick who is constantly moving her furniture around to give her place a "new look". Sheeeesh.

And I will never understand why any coach or GM is compelled to use an expensive player after that player has proven to be more of a liability than an asset. I would think they'd get more heat for losing games than for sitting a 4.5 mil turnover machine. They like to point to Connolly's points, but for every point he get's, he gives opponents plenty of advantages. The negative value of that is hardly quanitifed in the stats.

Interestingly enough, Mendola did a post on his blog tonight about Connolly

Those who play well and do what they are expected to do will play. Those who do not will sit out.

I'm just gonna say that the lines he put together the last two games were awful effective. I was asking about whether the players on the bench will change, not the lines themselves. Thanks.

Players on the bench will have to change...

Adam will be sent back down when timmy is healthy

Staff will be back and put Butler either on the bench or back on the D

Who knows what happens with Morrison or how bad he is hurt, but my guess is.... IF Staff can go next game and Morrison can not, you will see Butler and Rivet battle it out for his spot...

any word on Morrison?

I think they will keep Connolly out until they lose.

I think swapping out Adam for Connolly won't be too bad. I'm a big Adam fan, but I don't think he's ready yet. At least Connolly gets us SOME points.

When healthy, both Connolly and Stafford will be back in the lineup.

Staffor looked lethal against the jackets, so I have no issues seeing him back in the top-6, and Adam clearly isn't ready for the NHL, so putting Connolly back on the 2nd line won't hurt, as that line has been atrocious anyway...

He's shooting the lights out in the AHL, but in the games I've seen him play with the Sabres he just looks very nervous and uncomfortable with the puck and turns it over too easy.

It's best to send him back down for good this season and let him dominate again and build up his confidence. And if Connolly isn't ready to come back yet, I wouldn't be opposed to Darcy sending him back to the Pirates and calling up Stuart, as he actually looked pretty good in the 2 or 3 games he played for us (except that wrister that was about 20 feet too high :P )

That's good stuff guys. But I still say they keep Connolly out until they lose.

Not really. Take away brutalizing Columbus and they're struggled to score for games upon games.

The opposition is struggling to score without Connolly on the ice?

Agreed.

They are because they aren't being given as many glorious chances to score since Connolly's turnovers aren't there.

I think Yoda is onto something very important.
