It's already started to grow because of us already.

I just broke 1600 a couple of posts ago. I expect to break 1700 or maybe even 1750 through the course of tomorrow. After the game is going to be busy - post-game posting, chatting, and blogging. Damn.

I should be well over 900, maybe break 1000 after tomorrow.

I come home and post between classes anyways. But being able to be in this GDT, it should top my 58 posts in the preseason Montreal GDT.

Unfortunately, I rarely watch the games live. Thank the Lord for DVR. However, I believe I shall be viewing tomorrow's game as it happens. And since we got a laptop this past year, I can now post while watching. Hopefully I remember to actually join in the GDT. It's one aspect of the message boards I never really got involved in, much to my chagrin.

They were always fun, way more fun when we are winning also.

Skyline is right - when the Sabres would be cruising and scoring, the GDT's would end up veering from hockey talk altogether. There were some VERY random and strange GDT's back in the day.

If we were losing, especially badly it was always bitching about the team and certain players and coaching stuff.

Or we would then just stray away from the hockey talk also, because getting beat is never fun.

Let's all hope Mike has good karma.

I'll be watching the taped version thanks to a wonderfully scheduled Tuesday night club, but I predict after a hard fought battle, this one's Buffalo's for the taking. Let's go Buffalo!

Early-season test of how "real" these Sabres are - Whether they can put forth another (back-to-back) sixty-minute game...

Detroit *isn't* what they were last season, and with Franzen out...Buffalo had better use this chance to make a statement. No effing around.

The Sabres need to bust their humps (like they're playing scared, against a championship team) and not let the Wings off the hook.

WOOOOO BUFFALO!

And this is correct. We're going to expose the Wings' goaltending issues.

Plus, the Wings don't handle the in your face play very well. The evidence is in the Stanley Cup Finals last season.

OUT SKATE THEM BOYS!

Who is in net for Detroit, Howard?

Sooner or later, with all these shots, we have to light up a goalie. It really should have been LaBarbera, but he played well and had a little luck.

The "scorers" have to - HAVE TO - quit being so damn fancy and trust that puck-movement and NOT stickhandling, will open up greater opportunities.

If Connolly and Roy start with their crap....so help me.

Yeah, Lindy was saying that even though the Sabres are pumping 40 shots a night, they have had the opportunities for 50 if guys like Connolly and Roy would take their open shots rather than forcing the extra pass.

When was the last time so many of us felt this good about our chances against Detroit? Hope always breeds crushing heartbreak for the Buffalo fan so part of me is leery, but how can you not like feeling so good about our team again?

Hope we really take it to 'em.

To know that we have a chance against the best in the league... to be confident in our team again?

There's nothing better.
