Another game where Vanek or Roy contribute.
Luke Adam and Mark Mancari look decent, too bad they don't Ennis on that line instead of sticking the kid on line 3? or 4?
Vanek, Roy and Gerbe looked pretty good together. Gerbe just surprises me every game. Needs to score though.

Defense was quiet tonight offensively.
Miller let a soft goal in on the Lucic goal.
Weber? WTF kid? Learn from your mistakes, other wise, no different than a Sekera or Myers gaffe I've seen in the past.
Defense played pretty solid tonight. Game puck to them.

Hecht, Grier, Gaustad, McCormick, Kaleta......Hello? Anyone home?

Boston made some major Pomminville whifs this game. They had 3 or 4 golden open nets and blew'em.
Thier passing game and setup on the rush is just amazing. So thats how a 3 on 2 is supposed to look. :?

Roy, dude, what in the fuck was that all about in front of Bostons net......ALL ALONE?
Thats no fucking time to be asking Tim for his mothers Chicken Divine recipe you fuck stick..........
BURY IT BITCH!!!!!!!!!!

Loved that Mancari got a point, him and Adam do decent together.

One thing I am noticing on this Sabres Team.......as you bring in the young guys, the games get exciting and they are learning and gaining valuable experience both as individuals and collectively as a team unit.

Ennis, Gerbe, Adam, Mancari, Weber, Myers, Butler and Sekera are fairly young players with Mancari being the oldest out of the group. Kind of neat actually.

This was a win-able game. Very disappointing night...

I thought they battled and worked hard, and it was actually a fast paced, exciting game which is rare when these two teams play against each other... But damn, seeing them just let the game slip away from their fingers is really frustrating. I know hockey is a game of mistakes, but jesus that Weber giveaway is just unacceptable. He just wasn't thinking.

It was annoying that Roy seemed to wait too long to shoot the puck when he had that glorious opportunity in overtime, but at the same time the game is slowed down much more when you're sitting at home watching it on TV.

Both goalies were good and they both let in weird goals (Lucic's and Vanek's), but overall I thought they were both very srong.

Penalties in OT are killer, it's almost a guarenteed loss if your team takes one. I think a 4-on-3 is more effective than a 5-on-3.

What a heartwrenching game. I just mean the conclusion, that givaway by weber, that penalty in OT by Adam...what the fuck, a relatively solid game ruined by some simple shit like not handing it to the other team 10 feet in front of your own net.

I find it hilariously depressing that Pominville considers himself a sniper. How many great chances is he going to get, only to put them high or wide?

I dont really blame Roy for that missed chance, he was in pretty tight, with no momentum, and thomas was really on him. He could have tried more, but it looked like a scenario induced brainfart, whatev.

We actually got pretty lucky Boston didnt bury many of the really great chances they had, haha, and how great is it seeing Lucic choke on a wide open net? Fuck that bent-nosed twat.

Overall they didnt play that bad. Boston is clearly more physical than us (and seem to intimidate the sabres a bit) but we still hung with them and COULD have won that game.

So.......if you were the coach and the team got a 5 on 3, you'd maybe keep an extra guy off the ice? :D

Hell no...but it just seems that teams score more often when they're up a man in OT than when they're up two guys in regulation. I think they just have more open ice to work with and it's easier for them to create better opportunities.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I've developed a bit of an inferiority complex over my avatar based on the very insensitive remakrs of a fellow poster a few days ago: Do you think my avatar has saggy boobs?

Not enough Tit showing to make that call. Lets get a full frontal on that so we may judge objectively ;)

The defense sorta played well, but them and the team overall gave the puck away hundreds of times in the d-zone...maybe thousands. Considering the amount of great chances that Boston shanked, Buffalo was very lucky to get a point, regardless of Weber's TO.

Just like in Ottawa the other night, a few good chances were wasted by forwards hanging onto the puck too long. Classic squeezing the stick. This is just another game that proves the Sabres are a good enough team to almost beat good teams once in a while.

Pink is ugly as fuck plain and simple

What an exciting game. I was crying for Weber when he made that terrible mistake. Kid impresses the shit out of me. It didn't seem to shake his confidence too much either. I love his physical play though.

Miller is not at the top of his game this year. Period.

The Bruins are a sick team this year and if Timmy can play this well in the playoffs the Bruins deserve and should win the Stanley Cup. Their team is SICK in every aspect, O, D, G and special teams. Their passing is sick and everyone on that team has a fucking BOMB for a slapshot, holy shit.

I was praying the Sabres would get a point out of this game and I'm glad they did. Think about it- we played with a bunch of amateurs out there and hung with the Bruins. We should have got beat in reg no question, but the effort out of the Sabres (most of them) really impressed me and that's all I ask for- is the effort.

Watching the Bruins play can be brutal. They really can ramrod those goals down your throat. Never easy.

It's like on the show C*O*P*S when an arrestee is told during booking that he can cooperate during a pat-down...or we can do it the hard way.

The Bruins are like "just let some sofites in and we can all go home, or.....we'll slam in some goals and work you over in the process".

Terrible picture of Pink.

Also, I don't think Roy really had full control of that puck while he had it so he couldn't shoot the puck. It seemed to be rolling or flipped up which would have just meant a missed chance instead of the shot he was able to get off, plus when he got the pass it was quick, it wasn't this super long breakaway chance. It was on his stick and a second later he had to shoot.

Miller didn't necassarily play bad, but the B's should have had a couple more goals at least. 2 off the post that I can think of and a couple open nets were missed. Miller got lucky, just sayin.

In the o-zone and n-zone the Sabres looked good, they can definitely skate with the bruins. But in their own zone they looked like crap. Tons of turnovers and giveaways, forcing them to work harder and risk further mistakes in their own zone. Not nearly enough puck support and not a very strong showing along the boards.

I think size and intimidation plays a part in the Sabres own zone, but not so much outside of it.

Having said that I guess they deserved a point, but there's no way the Sabres would beat the bruins in a 7 game series if they dropped the puck right now. :snooty:
