Still have a drawing and two discussion posts to do for school but the semester is blissfully close to an end.....FUCK YEAH!!!! I have an art show starting the second week of January so I will be eating, sleeping and shitting nothing but art until then. I've been picked up as a teacher for a drawing class at my friend's gallery and there is a really large show coming up next September that I've been brought on board for. I have some deadlines for random work and opportunities throughout the first half of the new year and going from four to three classes a semester will give me a lot more time to spend with the kids, which I have been missing. All in all, pretty good.

The Stanley Cup is coming back to Nova Scotia tomorrow. Dennis Bonvie is taking the cup to his home community of Havre Boucher which is about 20 minutes outside of Antigonish. I think we'll be making the trek down after work to see Lord Stanley again! :D

My last paper I wrote has 1337 words in it. I loled when I saw that.

I've decided that I need a job that requires very little social interaction. Unfortunately, most of those types of jobs are not something I'd be at all interested in or good at.

This will blow the Harmony out of the water. It's the remote I have, and it's nothing short of awesome.

Granted, it's twice as expensive.

Some good person somehow got my credit card, which I lost in another city, back to me. I hesitated to order a new one (it'd been lost for over a month) because it wasn't being used so I knew it was probably going to get back to me eventually but was going to cave in and do so because I absolutely needed it to purchase Christmas gifts and to get something for a friend's parents who are letting me stay with them a few days into break and ride with their family to Rochester where I can be picked up by my mother for Christmas... Aaaanyway. I checked my mail after my last class today, and it was in an envelope that had changed names many times; it had many names crossed out with mine and my box number as the last name on it. Whoever it was that found it didn't send in the mail but drove to campus to get it back to me (likely the result of Googling my name; all the top results are actually me, and my college information is there). I lost it a good hour and a half away... I'll never know who to thank, though.

Off to do more car shopping today. Hoping I can just buy something. Sick of having to borrow a carfrom my parents.

What are you looking to get? New? Used? What's on your list?

Really looking for an 07 or newer sedan. Nothing sexy, but entirely practical. Need something with a big enough trunk for my hockey bag, golf clubs, or a body. Been looking at impalas and chargers. Preferably an impala, because me annd rwd don't get along too well, lol

You might be able to get some good deals on the Impala. The only problem is that the car is outdated compared to the competition. It's not a terrible car, just is lagging behind in a competitive market.

The new Chargers that will be coming out are a drastic improvement compared to the outgoing model, interior materials and build quality is now on par, if not better, than most of the cars it competes with. Plus it's getting the new Pentastar V-6 that was just named to WARD'S 10 Best Engines of 2010.

You might want to take a look at a Ford Fusion, it was good enough to win MotorTrend's car of the year last year. It has SYNC, which I've heard is fantastic and easy to use, build quality is good, and it's pretty practical.

If you're looking used, the 07- and up Camry's and Accords hold their value really well so they might be a bit out of your price range, but you cannot go wrong with them.

As much as I dislike them, take a look at a few Subaru's. The wagons/hatchbacks have a good amount of trunk space. The interiors are nothing to write home about, but they are simple, easy to use, and practical. Plus, you will get one of the best AWD systems in the automotive industry.

Now if you're looking at the low $20k price range take a look at the Suzuki Kizashi. It has recieved excellent reviews amongst auto journalists. MotorTrend just drove one from Japan to LA across some nasty terrain and it held up really well. The engineering is very good with the Kizashi, and you can have them with a manual, and/or AWD. It's a pretty sporty car too from what I've heard, although the four-cylinder doesn't put out a ton of power.

If you have any questions or anything, PM me.

I'm really glad I'm not in the other section of a class I have a term paper due in today. Mine is 7-10 pages, and the rubric basically only has on it that all the information is included, that the interviews I had to conduct are included, that the lessons I had to complete are there, and that good grammar and syntax are used. All throughout the night there were status updates from people in the other section that were like, "25 pages in and only on section G! Three more sections to go!" One of them ended up with forty-four pages. :?

It's amusing because the prof of the section I'm in is supposed to be the hardest one on campus. (I took his class because he knows his stuff, more so than anybody else I've ever met.) Riiiiight.

Well, today my uncle, my dad, and myself went to the Auto Auction (my uncle is a car dealer) and we bought an 06 Fusion, got it on a song, $4700, but my uncle has a 2007 Impala LT Limited with the special edition 3.9L Engine (equiped with cold air intake, and a few other mods), Premium sound, Leather, well basically loaded with every option. He said if I give him 2500 + the fusion I bought I can have it. I dont like the color is all, its that weird Chevy bronze, everything else is amazing on it, 24,000 Miles on the car, it's like brand fucking new. So, for now I have an 06 fusion, but I don't much like it to be honest. Rides ok, has a lot of low end power, but we're thinkin about running it through the sale again next week, because we know we can get about 5400 back outa it, and that would take a chunk out of the 2500 he's asking, in which case, I'd upgrade to the Impala. Plus the Fusion is black, and shows every bit of dirt on the fucking thing. I prefer metallic grey, or dark red in my cars.

So right now I've got a month to make about 1000 bucks, or just kinda drive the Fusion until I find a buyer for it.

Good deal. You're uncle can get some really good deals having a dealer license at auction.

Yeah, today we almost bought a G6 GT, that thing was sweet, I got to drive it. Only thing I didn't like was the seat. Arguably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat in, and I've sat in some shitty cars before, lol. As for Imports, I just always buy American, it's kinda my preference, not that I wouldn't take a Volvo S-40 or something, but American cars just kinda do it for me.

My previous cars:

94 Buick LaSabre (first car)
97 Range Rover (piece of shit but looked pimp as fuck for the time)
99 Jeep Grand Charoke
2003 Chrysler 300M

I did pretty good with all of those, except the Range Rover. I would still be driving the Jeep had my older brother not taken it camping, and then taken it down an embankment and into a tree. I loved that thing, lol. 4.6 V8 Dynomax Performance exhaust, 4" lift on it, few other toys and shit in it...was a nice ride man.
