The 2 games started only means you need 2 overall goalie starts, not 2 from each guy.

But I wish we had blocked shots and hits as stats honestly. Would be interesting. I wish instead of starts it would have been saves.

Hits and blocked shots added would really make the goalie stats be more realistic. In a deep league with the way we have it set right now it seems pretty hard for most people to have a fighting chance. We have a lot of offensive stats and a bunch of goalie stats but what about defensive stats? I know a lot of teams in our league with shit goal tending but great defense...and it's not doing them a lick of good.

Good ideas for next year, (assuming we do this again) more stats would make drafts more interesting, and defensive forwards and just defenders could become more valuable.

I know but I think that would happen anyway, no matter what the rules and stats are. It probably would be a bit more balanced if you could get points via defensive d-men. Right now they are useless.

I know, that's why it would be fun to have blocked shots, hits and ice time count. Is ice time an option?

The only thing I'd worry about is ending up with 20 stats per week, and only 6-8 of them goalie stats. (so it doesn't totally take away teams with great goaltendings advantage)

Nah, I think if we kept what we have and added hits and blocks it would even things out a bit so it's not so heavily influenced by goaltending. I mean, it was great when it was like 8 people and we all had at least one good goalie but in a huge league with at least half of us cursing our goal tandems, the few with great goalies are almost assured to win.

Yea, we need to add a few more stats in, I would switch games started with just saves or something.

Add in blocked shots and add in other stats. The league Commish decides which stats to use, and when we do it next year we need to have a vote of all available stats we can use and which ones we want to use.

We can also have PIMs and other bad stats go against us too.

in all perfect honestly, thats the only reason that im in first., I have Fleury and Carey Price as my goalies, which normally always wins me the goalie stats

Personally I think that it's shit to be able to win the league based on the shoulders of two roster spots. i mean, if you luck out and get two great goalies....wonderful. If you have a great offensive line but only so so goaltending you may as well check out cause you don't have a chance. And why do I even have defensemen?

i agree, i honestly do

i like how some leagues have points like fantasy football, which in my view helps to balance everything

i didnt count on having 20 teams in the league. if it was around like 8-10 teams (which is what i was expecting at most) then the number of goalies wouldnt be an issue.

I know Woz, just a learning curve is all. No one is upset...well maybe a tad frustrated....but we know what not to do next year. I mean, if we all vote on what to include, get a solid head count and shit maybe do two leagues even if we have to, just to make sure we all have a range of good players.

I had the second most points in my fantasy league this week. The team I played had the most. I lost by 6 points. Illya Bryzgalov missed three starts for me with the flu. I would have gotten five points for a single win. God fucking damn it.

I might do it, if only because Jacques Lemaire is going to be bringing back the hardcore neutral zone trap to the Devils.

I am a huuuge waiver/free agency whore. My goalies consist of Bryzgalov, Corey Crawford, Pavelec and now Brodeur. The only one I drafted was Bryzgalov.

I'm winning this week, or won, and basically I have not been at a computer to even update anything with my team.

Somehow Kari Lehtonen and Antero Niittymaki are completely carrying my team. Skaters are letting me down hard.

Dominating in the offensive stats but then Elliot throws up a stinker and I'm tied. I hate goalies.
