Mike, ya oughta be ashamed of spelling Jeanneret wrong in the title, but seeing it spelled right in the press release you copy/pasted :P

I think Rick (JEANNERET) has come out and said that he's willing to call more games for years to come, but the travel gets to him. I wouldn't mind seeing the Sabres have Rick do all the home games plus Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto for a total of 50 games, and have Mark pick up the other 32 road games.

Hopefully that'll be the plan. They are probably just waiting for Mark to get more experience with Portland

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I edited the title to correct the spelling... It's annoying when people mispell names, but for some reason it ESPECIALLY drives me crazy when people mispell Jeanneret and Pominville (THERE AREN'T TWO M'S IN HIS NAME DAMMIT).

I talk mounds of shit at "Sabres" fans who hate on 'Pomminville', 'Connely', and other egregious misspellings. I mean, for fuck's sake, fandom revoked.

For me it's the fact that Rick is one of the most important people in Sabres history. EVERY sabres fan should be capable of spelling his name right just like they should be capable of spelling Perreault and Hasek and Andreychuk without fail.

Kind of like how Buffalonians can spell things like Scajaquada, Tonawanda, and Cheektowaga without hesitation.

I'm sure JR is struggling through living in his dad's shadow and it will take some time for him to be comfortable of his own brand of play-by-play. It will be hard for ANY announcer to take over after RJ and that much harder for his own namesake. Personally, I want to see Neale get a shot at play-by-play with either Sylvester or Rob Ray as the color man.

Neale is almost 74. Hard to imagine he'll be around when RJ hangs it up.

His son is annoying. I remember him back when he did Erie Otters games and he was awful

HOLY CRAP! I had no idea Neale was even in his 70s. Maybe he just looks young next to RJ...lol

I used to get mad about people spelling Connolly incorrectly, but ever since he started to suck at hockey, I haven't really cared.

Yeah like when his dad retires
