A tired looking Ducks team came into HSBC Arena tonight.
They were a step behind most of the game.

Ennis looked good out there.
One thing I did notice, alot of oddman rushes for Buffalo.

Gerbe with his first goal of the season, way to go kid.

Roy and Leopold with a couple of helpers a piece, nice points night for them.

Nothing bad to say about this game, they should have beat them, and they did.

On a side note: Rivet's return. couple of points tonight, one a goal. Nice and rested he was.

Reading the box score shows a few fights. Who won them and was it an especially chippy game? Was Blake's hit on Kaleta extra bad looking, suspension worthy since Kaleta left the game?

Kaleta was kept out on a coaches decision. He could have played, but I'm guessing Lindy didn't see the need with the score what it was.

Doubt it would be a suspension, but I haven yet seen the hit.

There's a YT post on HF of the hit. It looks pretty bad. Probably just a fine if anything.

The hit was pretty bad, yeah. It was dirty.

McCormick won his fight. Goose's fight was a draw. Weber lost his badly.

Blake got nailed with Rule 48 on his hit, and got the game misconduct for it accordingly. It looked nasty but Kaleta was kept out (as Squanto said) by Lindy because he knew the game was in the bag and didn't want Kaleta to aggravate it.

Well I thought this game sucked, because I could not view. It's almost 2011, and yet I live in a world that doesn't allow me to view a sporting event.

Rivet played about 13 minutes, and that's right about where he should be every night IMHO. Goal, assist, +2. I bet he feels like a milli...errr 3.5 million bucks. Good for him.

Okay. One game at a time. But let's see the team win out the rest of the year. Start the new year with a nice winning streak.

Blake basically charged Kaleta from behind. Definitely a needless and dirty hit. The kind of stuff you expect Maxim Lapierre to do. That's his bread and butter.

Don't think it's suspension worthy, maybe 1 game because Blake is a tool, but probably nothing.

Still a hit from behind/boarding so I hope he gets a game. Hopefully they kept Kaleta out for precaution and not that he was having symptoms of another concussion.

I'd like to see them hand down a suspension as a disincentive to get this crap out of the game, but I just don't see them doing it.

So the NFL is boarderlining on over-fining for questionable hits, but when the same illegal hits are thrown in the NHL they are under prosecuting. WTF. Just something I noticed.
