Tough break... I really feel sorry for him.

Was it Milbury who signed DiPi? I thought it was Snow.

Think it was pre-Snow. Though I think it was Snow that signed him to the 15-year contract. Worst Contract. Ever.

It really is a shame though. Guy was a far, far bigger talent than Connolly, and now it's just a story of what could have been.

That's what I meant. Screw who drafted him, it's the bonehead who signed him to the 15 year deal that needs to get hated on.

A lot of people criticize Milbury for choosing DiPietro 1st overall in the draft....and him trading away players like Luongo and Chara.

Yeah. I'd be crying right now if I had to deal with these shenanigans for another what, 10 years?

Well Dip looked to be the next Roy...just has an injury fetish. If he would have stayed healthy and done what everyone thinks he could have, maybe trading players like Luongo and Chara the monkey boy wouldn't have seemed like such a mistake.

DiPietro is a total disaster and embarrassment to the Islanders organization. A few more injury prone seasons will end his career.

the situation is a disaster and embarrassment, but he himself is not. hes a hell of a goalie who works his ass off to return from injuries, and the poor guy cant catch a break. if the isles ever released him, id kill for him as a sabre project.

I would to. An injured Dipetro is better than a healthy Lalime.
