Rivet returns to the lineup tonight against the Ducks. Do you think he'll provide a boost? What do you expect out of him in his first game back?

We haven't had much to look forward to this season. But the Ducks are a physical team, and I look forward to seeing if Rivet's extended benching forced him to get himself in better game shape.

Might not have any effect at all, but it's an interesting story to keep an eye on.

Only Rivet's play can speak for himself. He has to defend the zone and assist in scoring if given opportunities. He can only play well.

I hope he does good. I want to see him play well and get back into the lineup.

I really think this should be titled "Captain Rivet Listen" since the game isn't gonna be broadcasted.

I think him still wearing the "C" is a friggin joke at this point.
He should volunteer it up and go play his ass off.

If he has something to prove, he might only have one way to do it tonight: with his fists. If things get at all heated, my money says he throws down with someone.

He's had this chance before though. Being benched then getting back into the line up happened already...and we all said "here's his chance!" "how will he respond?". And what did he do....nothing. Well to be fair, he did get himself benched again....so there's that. Cross is right, give up the C old man and if you really want it, play your ass off and earn it back cause right now you're an embarassment.

I agree calling him the captain at this point is absurd. What I'm trying to say is I'm not sure he has the skills left to make an impact. So the only way for him to make his mark or show some leadership might be to fight or stick up for a teammate that gets hit.

I know, and completely agree. I just don't think he has anything left, even fistacuffs. The last time he came back from being benched he could have ripped someone's face off but chose not to.....so I'm not expecting much this time around.

No matter what happens, he's handled himself admirably in what must have been a very awkward and embarassing situation. That in itself is leadership.

Rivet did well last night. He needs more games like that.

Goal and an assist. Big night back for Captain Craig.
