Geez, I didn't think Larry's comment is bad at all. I like that he said it. While he didn't come out and blatantly say, "Yes, there will be a new owner.", it was his way of saying, "Even though the team is changing owernership, you don't have to worry about relocation." For Sabres fans who went through the bankruptcy years, relocation of the franchise was a serious possibility, so I can see why Quinn made that comment.

see the comment that made me pissed was this (from wgr not the buffalo news) :

Buffalo Sabres Managing partner Larry Quinn told reporters at the HSBC Arena that the Sabres cannot move from Buffalo. “The only assurance that I would give to fans until there is a sale, or if there is a sale is they need to know something we did five years ago,” said Quinn. “In bankruptcy, we committed to a non-relocation agreement, which we didn’t have to do, to keep the Buffalo Sabres here forever. From a fans point of view, that’s all they needed to worry about.”



i mean yeah, we went through a time when we had to worry about losing the sabres, and its awesome knowing we won't.. but just the fact how he goes to say that they didn't have to do that and that's all we need to worry about is kind of a slap in the face from management/our owners. its like he said, "hey it shouldn't matter to you fans what we do, and if we never win the cup, cus we kept your precious sabres here." :snooty:
