Oh, the Caps are going to lose the Stanley Cup now in the finals.

Caps should switch to these jerseys full time.

Exactly, the NHL really needs to just give up on promoting these two to the casual fan. No one really gives a shit and probably even less now

Wow, post-game Gary seems a little upset that the Pens lost this game. Not really giving any kudos to the Caps for stealing it from Cindy.

Fuck. Him.

I am no Crosby fan but that hit Steckl laid on him was a blind side hit to the head no matter if he meant to hit him. Hell if the NHL gave 3 games to the Glencross mistaken hit on Drury last year, I bet he gets 3-4 games at least.

History was made last night, and it will NEVER be duplicated. I'm talking about that many fans for the opposing team in Heinze Field, they were at least as loud as the Pens fans, probably louder although given the fact that they had more to cheer about I can't say for certain. My hats off to the Caps fans, they showed up fired up and ready top support their team, they are some passionate hockey fans. I like that.

I know the holiday has long passed, but I am thankful for many things...

That the game got moved to 8pm thus making it impossible for me to watch. Fuck Washington and Pittsburgh.

That the weather gods took a giant dump on Pittsburgh and its fans.

And that the Pens lost.

Yeah, I didn't mind seeing Crosby getting his clocked cleaned but the hit was illegal although no penalty was called. The best view is about about 17 seconds into the video.

That hit was pure accidental though, neither player was even looking at one another there.

Still could have been dangerous though.

Dear Pittsburgh

Thank you so damn much for hosting the worst winter classic ever. You have shown us what would happen if the game was played in a southern market, even though you are in the Midwest. You did such as great job in hosting the Winter Classic that I am proud to say that I am happy in my old decision to disown you as my hometown. I can not wait until 27 August, when i leave you for good

I wish the ratings were released for each outdoor game in a nice chart for easy comparisons.

From what I've been able to tell, this year's saw the most viewers at 4.56 million, which is slightly above the 4.4-4.5 million average for the previous incarnations.

I wonder if the move to 8pm helped or hurt the TV ratings. I tend to think it might have helped them, with a few people sleeping late Saturday after New Years festivities the night before.

TAKE ME WITH YOU!!

As soon as they announced that the WC would be held in Pittsburgh I said to myself, "Really?". The weather here is unpredictable to say the least, always has been always will be. But please consider the fact that this could have happened almost anywhere. It was around 20 degrees with some snow for about 20 days straight until this untimely warm front moved into our area. If I'm not mistaken Chicago got the same weather just a week before us, so let's not pretend like this is South fucking Africa. This is Pittsburgh, it's commonly fucking cold and snowy here this fucking time of year, I work out in it, I know. Rain is essential for life on earth so everybody please take a few dicks out of your gapping assholes and a few deep breaths. It's just rain and bad luck.

The first WC was the best one, but even then it was delay after delay because of cracks in the ice, so please stop pretending like Buffalo is this perfect fairy tale land of magical snow globe ice making gnomes. LOL With ideal temperatures the Buffalo ice was even more fucked up than Pittsburgh's.

But seriously get me the FUCK OUT OF HERE!

Where are you moving too?

it was a warm front. every city gets them in the winter in the north. a southernly wind comes up from the gulf, that brings warm air and thunderstorms to a region of the country. here in michigan we had severe thunderstorms. so the weather would have been bad for any city in a certain geographical area. just the way our weather patterns are.

outside that, i didnt watch the game outside a shortened CBC replay at 1 am last night.
