Chris Botta's awesome coverage of the Isles almost makes them a legitimate team heh

Yea Roloson is definitely a good move by TBL. Forces Mike Smith into the 3rd role, which gives the Bolts proper goaltending depth.

I'd like to see DiPi play again, the poor guy has been hit by every injury in the book, except maybe full nasal reconstruction.

Couple of guys from The Fourth Period are thinking this trade puts the Islanders under the mandatory cap floor...

Naturally.

Corrected math...$1.02M above cap floor for the Isles.

Maybe the Sabres should look at either one of Ellis or Smith cause we all know Lalime can't deliver.

Well that makes no sense because we have Enroth waiting for next year when who knows, we might not suck.

Well right now they seem scared to bring him up full time, I was just thinking for a fix this year.

Good move for the Lightning, who get depth and veteran presence in the crease, and the Islanders, who needs DiPietro to stay healthy or have room available to acquire a full time goaltender in the future.

Regier wants enroth in a position where he can get a lot of games and play. if he is the goalie of the future he needs to play not sit the bench most nights like lalime does because right now this is miller's team and regier is probably scared of another hasek trade me situation (fits regiers psyche). if enroth was up he'd probably get somewhere around 20 starts if they keep with the back up role they've been going. down in portland he is likely to see at least 40 starts. The more experience the kid gets the more he can develop or so is the thinking of regier i would guess. And trust me i am not defending that sniveling little pansy Regier. I want him fired and someone who gives a damn enough to scout players himself, especially when the junior tournament is in your city, and a GM who can actually make trades.

Rolo stonewalled the Caps last night, stopping 34 shots in a 1-0 OT win. First Lightning goalie in franchise history to get a shutout in their debut. He'll be getting the start against the Pens tonight, too.
